It's hard to describe how amazing it was. 60-70k crazy ass Japanese people screaming their heads off in the stands.. the pre fight spectacles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcXCrQE_pjo (ignore the oiled up guy in the diaper as strange as that sounds.. but hey, it's Japan)
The ring was infinitely better than the shitty cage which let's people like Condit run instead of fight. The card system, where if you get shown the yellow card it's a warning that you need more action or you'll lose a % of your purse. The rules which allowed kicks to the head of a downed opponent, stomps, knees to the head of a downed opponent.. these guys were savages compared to the soft ass shit UFC has become. They also had all sorts of tourneys/Gran Prixs. Including open weight grand prixs.. the weight classes weren't as cut and dry, you constantly had guys moving around/fighting up to give you the matchups you wanted.. instead of in the UFC where we are left to only speculate about GSP/Silva (for example) year after year

I'd give anything to be able and go back to a Pride Event from somewhere in the 03-06 range
and yea PPV is tomorrow night not tonight. Saturday night here in the US, guessing that would fall somewhere Sunday morning over there?
