The ring was infinitely better than the shitty cage which let's people like Condit run instead of fight. The card system, where if you get shown the yellow card it's a warning that you need more action or you'll lose a % of your purse. The rules which allowed kicks to the head of a downed opponent, stomps, knees to the head of a downed opponent.. these guys were savages compared to the soft ass shit UFC has become. They also had all sorts of tourneys/Gran Prixs. Including open weight grand prixs.. the weight classes weren't as cut and dry, you constantly had guys moving around/fighting up to give you the matchups you wanted.. instead of in the UFC where we are left to only speculate about GSP/Silva (for example) year after year

I'd give anything to be able and go back to a Pride Event from somewhere in the 03-06 range

and yea PPV is tomorrow night not tonight. Saturday night here in the US, guessing that would fall somewhere Sunday morning over there?

3 am Sunday morning over here. When ever I see Cro Cop now I always think of Sonnen ranting about how Japanese MMA was fake "Oh what happened to your legs Mirko? Nothing you always sucked" or words to similar effect. Why did ADR fight with the mask also? I would have thought there would have been some rule against that.

I'm guessing because that was the height of Dos Caros lucha libre days and they take that shit serious. Pride wasn't anal about rules so they just let him wear it.

Chael Sonnen is just a shit talker. He wouldn't have survived in Pride during those days, especially if he fought Cro Cop in his prime, I can promise you that

it's fucking lame how you can't find anything online these days. You'd think Pride was an Urban Legend as difficult as it is to find the events to watch or download smh
