Some really good fights on this card. Dana White announced that the winner of the mainevent will most likely be in line for a title shot. Shogun vs Henderson is a great mainevent and I have to go with Shogun winning here. Henderson is coming off a famous first round TKO of Fedor but I think that Shogun is the better fighter at this time. A win here should get Shogun back into title contention.

Really looking forward to Cung Le's UFC debut. Should be a win first up for him as Wanderlei has lost 6 of his last 8 and I don't think that he will be able to keep up with Le.

Card's not too bad at all here.

Bit better than 138 though. Won't be watching this one but Kampmann vs Story should be a good bout as well as Silba and Le.

I think that this card is a lot better than 138. Urijah Faber vs. Brian Bowles should be very good and it is nice seeing Stephen Bonnar making a main card again.

With Johnny Eduardo (25-9 MMA, 0-1 UFC) scratched due to a shoulder injury, undefeated promotional newcomer Alex Soto (6-0-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has taken his spot on next week's UFC 139 card.

He now meets fast-rising bantamweight Michael McDonald (13-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC).

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today confirmed the switch with event sources, though UFC officials haven't formally announced it. McDonald first hinted at the change via Twitter.

UFC 139 takes place Nov. 19 at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

While the main card airs on pay-per-view, Eduardo vs. McDonald is slated for the portion of the preliminary card expected to stream on Facebook.

The 20-year-old McDonald, a former Tachi Palace Fights champion, is 3-0 under the Zuffa banner with a WEC victory over Clint Godfrey and UFC wins over Edwin Figueroa (which earned a "Fight of the Night" award) and Chris Cariaso. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt has now won six straight fights, which included the Tachi title win over Cole Escovedo to avenge his only career defeat.

Soto recently was featured in our "Fight Path" series, in which the former U.S. Army war veteran and U.S. Navy dolphin trainer discussed his thirst for adventure. Although he came up just short of a spot on "The Ultimate Fighter 14," he now makes his UFC debut fresh off a six-fight win streak that recently was halted with a draw against Seiji Akao (15-4-1) at June's DEEP 54 event in Japan.

Looking forward to this card, good match ups top to bottom and Henderson back in the UFC and right off the bat having a major step up in competition from the guys he beat in StrikeForce.

Yea the events have just been churning out latley, seems like there's fight on all the time know, def a good thing, and there still putting on good cards which is a plus.

The past few months have been filled with events and it will be even busier next year when UFC start running more events on Fox and FX. As long as they have quality cards I don't mind the large number of events.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – MMA legend Wanderlei Silva has heard his critics loud and clear, but he's simply not listening.

He's got more important folks to consider.

"My motivation is back," Silva told MMAjunkie.com. "I need to make my fans happy again. I have a lot of fans around the world. I know Saturday a lot of guys are going to have barbecue in their homes, and I know my responsibility to the millions and millions and millions of people that are going to watch that fight. I want to make my fans happy."

Silva (31-11-1 MMA, 3-6 UFC) meets fellow striking specialist Cung Le (7-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) in the co-feature of Saturday's UFC 139 pay-per-view event, which takes place at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. It's the first fight for Silva since suffering a 27-second knockout loss to Chris Leben at July's UFC 132 event.

The devastating loss caused many MMA pundits to call for his retirement, but Silva points to former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez's recent 64-second defeat as proof that anyone can fall victim to a well-placed punch.

"It happens," Silva said. "It happened with Cain Velasquez last week. You never know.

"In the first three minutes, everybody has power. The gloves are very small. One punch can finish you. But we tried to train so that this won't happen anymore."

In Le, Silva faces a devastating striker known for an overwhelming variety of attacks that come from seemingly every possible angle. "The Axe Murderer" said defensive preparation played a huge role in his training.

"I trained more my defense," he said. "My attack is really good, but I trained more my defense. My coach told me what I need to do, and I tried.

"[Le] is a professional. He's coming from kickboxing his whole life. He's a really good opponent and a dangerous opponent, of course."

Silva will have the added challenge of fighting Le on his home turf. The Brazilian is used to competing in front of thousands of adoring fans. However, on Saturday night, he'll be the enemy.

Silva isn't worried about the challenge of swaying fans into his corner.

"He's going to fight in his hometown," Silva said. "It's good. I hope the guys cheer for me over here, too – boos in the first moment, but when it's finished the guys are going to cheer for me."

Ultimately, that's Silva's primary goal. The longtime fan-favorite is just 2-6 in his past eight fights, but he's not ready to hang it up just yet. The former PRIDE champion still loves the thrill of competing, and he knows he needs to prove he's still capable of competing at the sport's highest level.

And, of course, he wants to provide some memorable barbecues.

"More guys want to watch me fight than guys want to make me stop," Silva said. "I can't tell you anything. Just my performance can tell if I can fight or not.

"I just think my performance can [prove I belong] in the UFC right now."

Hendo definitely has more power but Shogun is the far superior striker and will probably land almost double the amount of punches as Hendo. The key for Hendo will actually be taking Shogun down in my opinion. I think everyone is giving Shogun a little to much credit on the ground, he is 20-5 with 17 KO's and only one submission. Hendo is more than a seasoned Greco Roman wrestler. If he can mix in some good ground work he can runaway with this fight. No matter what it only takes one right hand for Hendo to win a fight. He might honestly have the most dangerous right in MMA.
