SuperLuchas.net reports Cody Rhodes recently tested positive on a drug test for a banned substance but was cleared after providing a valid prescription from a licensed and treating physician.

Prior to being cleared, it would appear that Rhodes believed he was facing suspension. He cryptically wrote May 21 on Twitter: "Time off." He appeared at the following day's SmackDown taping in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and all SmackDown shows since then.

The website also reports that another WWE performer whose name has not been disclosed recently had a positive drug test and will be suspended if a valid prescription is not produced.
That tweet could have not been refering to what the article is saying, but it does make you wonder about the issues with the wellness policy if he wasn't confident of being cleared despite having a valid prescription.

Well they gave Rey the 30 days anyhow for turning it in in 3 days instead of 48 hours.

Think it's just the site connecting the two things rather than actually knowing that was what it was about. That said would make sense considering hasn't taken any time off. Curious as to who the 2nd person is though.

Yeah here is what Super Lucha reported - Randy got busted for weed and roids:
- Super Luchas Magazine, a usually reputable magazine from Mexico, reports that Randy Orton violated the WWE Wellness Policy after testing positive for Dianabol and marijuana.

Marijuana isn't punishable by suspension in WWE, just a $2,500 fine. The report states that Orton tested positive for marijuana, was fined and then tested again for other substances where he tested positive for use of Dianabol. Dianabol (methandrostenolone) is an orally-effective anabolic steroid. Dianabol was commonly used by bodybuilders until Congress banned it under the Controlled Substances Act.

Well I'm glad Rhodes was cleared, he's a smart guy and I know he wouldn't want to put his career in jeopardy this early, his likely push this year wouldn't of happened so soon if he'd been suspended. As for the Second person, I really hope it's not a big name!

Maybe Miz? I mean they did let Orton RKO him and it would explain some stuff.

Damn, lucky Cody was quick and smart enough to provide a prescription for them. A suspension early on his career would be bad especially when he is at the level he is at atm, and if he is destined for a push soon it would of been halted for a long while. And also thank god Cody wasn't suspended as WWE is already losing enough stars as it is due to suspensions and injuries.

But this is what makes the wellness policy sort of a joke. It's possible to get a doctor to prescribe you almost anything. The ones who actually fail and get suspended are the lazier ones.

I wonder who this other star is, can't wait to see when their name is released.

Randy Orton's name has already been released.

If you have a prescription then I have no issue with them getting off. Yes sometimes there will be suspect doctors that don't go by the book, Chris Benoit's doctor is a great example, but most of them are fine and only subscribe medicines if the patient actually needs it. Would have been another big loss for Smackdown if Rhodes had been suspended as well.

It's a mockery of their sham testing that they can get a note from a crock doc and be excused.

How many more roid rage murders do they need to see before cracking down on this.

The positive side to the story is that I can call him "Cody Roids" now.

How do you know it's even roids? :lmao There's plenty of things that can get you suspended especially with any prescriptions. Btw I suggest you take a look at Ryback. That guy you like. Na he's not on roids. Def not.
