According to PWInsider, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have both been sent home after last night's taping of SmackDown. Their report could not confirm a reason why, but did say both were sent back to the U.S.

According to a report by Sports Illustrated, Vince McMahon approved the decision to send them home after "going into business for themselves" during their on-air time on last night's SmackDown. It was said that they were sent home "for conduct deemed detrimental to the WWE." You can see their segment in the video above.

Both Zayn and Owens are involved in the Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown storyline as outcasts on the SmackDown roster, but at this point, neither are in a match at Survivor Series. In October, Kevin Owens had to leave the South American WWE tour, due to family issues that are apparently now resolved.

So it's not storyline wise thing?

:lmao trying to act like Brock Lesnar when your contract isn't close to his.

Yeah no shit....stick to the script.

Just because a De Niro can adlib....doesn't mean a Co star can do the same.

If the report is true, these guys are idiots.. These indy guys gotta stop acting like egotistical jerks. You can't act like you did on the Independents. Owens should know that. It's the big leagues now, stick to the script. You can't do whatever you want anymore.

Apparently Owens and Zayn were suppose to get attacked by The New Day after Zayn/Kofi on Smackdown, but they left the ring right after Owens attacked Kofi, pretty much going off script.. That's the report right now at least.

So they forgot a spot to do after a Match and that's why they were sent home lol. Come on you tell me a Wrestler hasn't forgotten to do something like take a beatdown or a plot point in a Promo sounds kinda petty to me. I guess both guys being vets WWE is thinking they should know better and remember such things.

There’s a difference between forgetting something and choosing not to do something.

Sounds like KO and Sami choose not to do the spot from what i heard

So I just got watching the segment and match and will give thoughts on it with this report in mind.

I didn't really hear anything in the promo that I think was out of line with their character, likewise with any insults they used. I mean Owens referenced Shane's kids and the plane crash prior to HIAC so I don't see anything in this.

One thing I spotted in the match was when Kofi hit that nasty ass dropkick on Sami. Maybe it was because I had read this report before even seeing it, but it did appear that Sami looked somewhat pissed at it with the stalling on the outside and talking to the referee.

The post match stuff does stick out now though. It took a look time for the music to be played which made it feel like they were waiting for something to happen. Along with that, Sami & Owens looked out of sync and not like it was part of the angle. Usually you would have them stuck together and cowering away up the ramp or something but you had Owens on the ramp and Sami just hanging around at ringside.

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn are expected back with WWE next week in time for the Survivor Series go-home edition of Smackdown Live. There was some concern backstage that Vince McMahon would take a hard stance with the two for something that in the grand scheme of things wasn't even a big deal, with some comparing it to the situation in 2016 with Titus O'Neil where Vince had a major overreaction, first wanting to fire O'Neil, before announcing 90 day suspension and then finally being talked down to 60 days.

No big deal then. Nice. Hope their attitude won't be same though.
