Two Felons Arrested After Posting On Facebook

[No More Sorrow]

HARRISON, Ark. -- Investigators with the Boone County Sheriff's Department say the website Facebook, came in handy for an arrest of a man and woman for weapons and drug charges this week.

Vicki Bogardus and Michael Wheeler are both convicted felons. Investigators were monitoring a gun group on the popular website. Officers say Bogardus was in that group, trying to sell an assault rifle. Deputies went to her home and found 15 guns. Wheeler was at the home.

Officers also found a small amount of marijuana and Bogardus' three month old daughter.
Investigators say more and more they are using the website to solve cases.

"All we got to do is confirm what we already know, and go out and do our job. I think the common misconception about the entire thing is they don't think we are going to look at it," said investigator, Ryan Watson.

Both Wheeler and Bogardus have posted bail, 10 thousand dollars each. The child remains in the care of Human Services.

You would think so. But some people really think they are safe on the internet.

A lot of people in my area stay posting dumb ass shit on facebook like, got bud for sale and stuff like that. Few weeks later, they get popped.

You'd be amazed at the stupid shit on Facebook or whatever it is and Cops are taking advantage of that Facebook is also good to keep an eye out on people who are suspects, now it's only a matter of time before status's can be used as Evidence in a trial.

Facebook is good to use not only to find the person themselves but the people that are known to be associated with them. cause if you can draw up a line of associations then you are more than likely going to find the one that you are searching for because someone isn't going to privatize everything like they should and so there will be gaps that can be easily seen through and BAM... you find your guy or woman. Its actually a rather easy process in locating someone, specially with the whole smartphone locator that people use now... I mean people are practically leaving themselves wide open to be followed and found by anybody.

So... I say use whatever methods you can and that would be the easiest method to use. But people really are dumb doing that sorta stuff then posting about it.
