RIVERSIDE (KTLA) -- Two dozen Riverside County high school students accused of selling illegal drugs on campus were arrested on Thursday.

The students were taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at Vista De Lago High School in Moreno Valley and Elsinore High School in Wildomar, authorities said.

Riverside County sheriff's officials said the arrests came after a long-term investigation into drug sales on the school campuses. At each school, twelve students were arrested. Many of the arrests took place during Thursday morning classes.

During the investigation, deputies seized marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, Ecstasy and prescription drugs.

Seven of the students who were taken into custody were allegedly carrying switchblade knives, marijuana, cocaine, Ecstasy or hydrocodone.

All students were taken to Juvenile Hall in Riverside.

I heard of people doing this but this sounds even worse, lucky they didn't pull out the knives on the police.

What kind of school do these kids go to? I remember at my school a few students were expelled for selling marijuana but that was as extreme as it got.
