Like all the "Triple H NXT" should have been main roster at the time and now that seems to be viable so I'd be shocked if NXT went anywhere near back to that, they just might not be as rainbow
but the question is, was it HHH fault they never main rostered or was it Vince

I don't see a point in keeping good wrestlers in NXT going forward myself if the main roster isn't a death sentence so I'm more than okay with it it being used to develop people that haven't wrestled elsewhere
If this is what Dale meant then, okay fair enough. But a counter point is, sometimes folks are good wrestlers, BUT not good enough to the point of being main roster ready yet. Like sometimes they need just a little bit more fine tuning and work.

and I ask this because if those guys all got called up quicker and used well, I don't think this is actually a problem yknow?

yeah i mean, blake christian for example comes to mind. you cant tell me that the MSK guys werent better off in NXT for seasoning either regardless that the y were killer in the ring too. these guys do need help getting acclimated to TV wrestling as well

HHH kept guys too long in NXT agreed, but I don't think that should be no good wrestlers in NXT ever personally and I certainly think it would be foolish to keep the no indie guys mantra vince had, since, yknow, almost all the top guys in WWE aside from brock and roman are indy guys afaik

That was "no indie guys hired at all" though, I'm saying you hire those guys but they go straight to the main roster lol unless it's a young indy guy then yeah. And I don't even think that was HHH's choice to keep them, Vince just didn't want your garganos and ciampa's. I think without those limitations we should have less good wrestlers on developmental. Like your shinskukes and your Bobby roode's especially, never in a million years should have went to "developmental"

agree on the later 100% , Nak and Roode had no business in NXT. Drake and EC3 either tbh. but I can still see value in guys like black, lee etc to get exposure in NXT first and being built up. Especially if there is no longer this massive disconnect between the MR and NXT

I remember a report years ago that WCW wrestlers that jumped ship often got injured going to WWE because of the different ring designs. Could be the reason? Or WWE didn't know what to do with him and thought they'd use him for a bump to NXT

And I still think they should recruit athletes too bc WWE is your best bet to entice those people into the business and if the program is well you can find some gems, especially amateur wrestlers

Not even top guys necessarily, but experienced i guess is a better word. Eric Young another example, not popular but def not developmental level. Save it for the Blake christians or the MSKs like you said, guys that haven't even really had major chances on indies

Yeah, both work. I mean look at Kurt Angle for example. One of the best to EVER step into the ring. So sometimes you find some damn good gems who wasn’t tearing it up on the indies.
