You honestly can't really go wrong with any of the options outside of Miz, Priest, or Sheamus. All three guys would absolutely feel lesser considering the competition. I also have zero desire to see a Miz world title reign in 2023. Sheamus just got done with a feud against Gunther where he got broken down to his core, and Damian Priest needs to be built back up.

Priest being in it isn nice just cause of the difference. It'd have been nice if it was comprised of all non former champions or something.

Miz being in this is shocking tbh. They must be planning on making him a serious star again. And honestly I’d give the title to Shinsuke

I wouldn’t have put Cody in this tournament. His story is about the WWE Championship. He has to beat Roman Reigns

And they can use this tournament, get him and Seth to the finals and have Brock come out and fuck Cody over…

But why have Cody lose another high profile title match?

Because it's not a clean loss and just adds another layer to him not being able to capture 'the big one'

Seth vs Cody can’t be the finals, it can only be the match to determine who goes to the finals.

I get it. Just a preference.

How does he get back to Roman? MITB? You want to take him away from RAW when he’s the biggest star?

Questions I’ve had over the past few weeks that all could’ve been resolved with Cody winning the belt at the right time

I just figured you saw where since before we even knew who was in it, that it’s coming down to a Raw star and Smackdown star.

Exactly, so again I ask….why put him in this tournament and beat him.

The finish at Backlash easily sets up a rematch
