It was the same for The Square and even after watching it I can barely tell you what the movie was about really weird but it was very good.

Good film. I went in to this not really knowing what to expect from it. Watched it back to back with The Menu, as they seemed to be similar movies on first glance. Although, that wasn't really the case upon watching it. You have to be a little patient with it but the build-up I found to be great. It was incredibly well-written, right from the opening scenes. The cinematography was super nice. It was a very engrossing watch overall (even when I was like "Wtf is happening") and the performances from the cast were pretty excellent. I really enjoyed the variety of characters and the overall feel of it, the dark comedy was well-done at times. The premise itself was very interesting and unique and it covered some really thought-provoking subjects and themes. Maybe not for everybody, but I quite enjoyed it. Not sure if I fully 'got' it though, I'd have to read some other theories about it and so forth.
