Just got back from my first trip to Toronto.

I find that entire city tries WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too hard to be New York City and the whole place is polluted with assholes (which is about the only part of the imitation it gets right). If I could describe the vibe of the city, I would say it's like everyone is just waiting for something really fucking HUGE to happen, but it probably won't.

Anyone here ever been to Toronto?

Living fairly close to Toronto and having to go to Toronto a few times. In all honest, I'm not a fan of Toronto. There's a lot to do but it really all depends on what festivities are happening in the city, I think it also depends on whether or not there were activities that you'd enjoy doing while in Toronto. I've never been to New York so, I can't really compare New York to Toronto, but I can imagine most cities are similar because they're cities and they generally look the part. Some people are generally just rude, but I've found most people to be generally nice.

Lived in TO for over 2 years and I LOVED every second of it!! I've travelled the world and lived in many different countries and citie and Toronto was by far my favourite. Maybe it';s the friends I made while living there; I had a circle of friends which consisted of about 50 like-minded people from all over the world, but mainly Ireland, Britain and Australia.

I worked cool jobs, made lots of money, had great sexual experiences, took some great drugs and got drunk at least 4 times every week.

The only thing I hated about TO is that for such a big city it has no decent sports teams; Maple Leafs should be the greatest hockey franchise of all time - but they suck! Blue Jays are carrying the hopes of Canadian baseball fans but there glory days are long gone. The Raptors are are a joke to be honest but I did get to see them assaulted by teams like my beloved Celtics and the mighty Bulls. The less said about the Argonauts the better - Canadian football is just nowhere near the standard of the NFL. I will mention Toronto FC but only to be polite; North American "soccer" just isn't up to it.
