Charlotte Flair will be taking time away from WWE to get married.
Flair dropped the Smackdown Women's Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday. WWE would later issue a storyline injury update on Flair, stating she had suffered a fractured radius. According to our own Dave Meltzer, the storyline injury is just a way to write her off television as she takes time away to get married.
"It's the angle to write her off to get married," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.
"I don't know exactly how long she's going to be out but it's wedding and honeymoon and all that," he continued.
Flair revealed in an interview with Ariel Helwani before WrestleMania that her and Andrade el Idolo plan to get married this summer.
"We have a date," Charlotte said. "It's this summer, in Mexico. I have my dress."
She then responded, "Who knows?" when asked if she would be taking time away from WWE for the wedding.
So we get a couple months off from her, before she inevitably returns and is immediately back in the title picture.
Good news, then bad news
