The first time I really felt like I was watching a soap opera (but in a good way) was the whole Test/Stephanie/HHH wedding fiasco. It was believable, it helped HHH continue down that path of being THE ultra-heel at that time, and was obviously Stephanie's breakout angle, especially once she turned heel and sided with Hunter..

If WWE thinks it's a good idea to put on such over the top storylines, I'm not goin' to complain or find reasons to nitpick especially in this era. I'm goin' to try find things I find funny out of it. I enjoy Katie Vick stuff and Gutter Slut stuff but I don't take it seriously. Wrestling has evolved to a state where it can't really come back from in this form. Tasteless things will continue to happen in wrestling... Does it make a tasteless person to accept them and continue to be a wrestling fan? If it does in your eyes than I guess I'm tasteless.

To add to this all I will say is that stuff like the Katie Vic storyline bombed, fans just didn't know what to make of it and apart from finding amusing how bad it was it never got Kane, Triple H or their world title match over and Vince Mcmahon said sorry for it in public so even he knew that they had crossed a line.

And deezy maybe your view on Jim Cornette is fair maybe it isn't, but are you really telling me that the fans gave a shit about the Terry Rennals losing her baby angle and that it served a purpose?

Terry Runnels was the catalyst that brought Edge and Christian and The Hardy's into the limelight.

So, yeah, she served a purpose.

But that pregnancy angle had nothing to do with her 'Terri Runnels Invitational Tag Tournament.'

I thought she was supposed to be preggers, but I guess it was something else.

I can't remember every storyline.

All I'm saying is, there are people who watch for the storylines.

Why are segments where people are just standing around talking on a mic draw more viewers than matches?
