Top 100 Rap Songs of 2008

Decent list of hip hop tracks. Certianly radio play had no effort on the ratings. Some tracks were very suprising to see on the list, and others your glad to see get noticed. Royal Flush is an interesting pick as the #1 song. Good to see Wale/Hamilton/Royce/Black Milk/ Cudi and a lot of underground rappers made it too. Kinda surprised a Milli / Put on wasn't higher. Then some songs were just plain bad, and shouldn't be on the list.

They did miss some big rap tracks in 08 too Imo:

- Nappy Roots - No static
- Common - Universal Mind Control
- Ace Hood - Cash Flow
- Rick Ross - Boss/Here i am
- Dj Khaled - Out here Grindin
- E-40 - Wake it up

Well...you get the idea. There are some commercial tracks worthy of making the list. Off the top these might not be the best examples, but still probably worthy of top100



also found the top 10 hip hop battles. The list seems to be missing one of the greatest battles of all time in Canibus vs LL Cool J.

I'm surprise that this list wasn't like any others. If you look at most of the list on the internet with top 100 Hip-Hop/Rap songs, most of them have Lil' Wayne as their #1 pick with either Millie, Got Money or Lollipop.

I never heard the Royal Flush track but it sound hot.

It came out about last summer. It was supposed to be big boi's first single. Pretty good track, idk about #1 though. One of my friends who's getting older, fading out of hip hop a little bit, that was one of his favorite songs of last year as well.

The songs that surprised me most were the busta rhymes tracks. These were OK songs at best. Don't touch me was #7?? Busta has had like 4 singles and the album still hasn't came out, so the singles most not have been that good.

and the album is going to need another single by the time it actually comes out. I do like Arab Money, that was the first track i liked of the four.

We Made It is a damn good song, the only song imo that I like that Busta had done

 

[THE Renegade Diesel]

The new Busta album is meh, We Made It was alright imo, but I never got that into it. I was in love with the Don't Touch Me remix, but not really the original version. Its probably going to be average.

On the list, its pretty good. Royale Flush was awesome, and a couple of songs mentioned by Monty I can't believe didn't make the list.
