Now that years have passed the PS3's library of games has greatly increased and it's going to get even better as time passes. So I think it's a good time to start compelling lists of your favorite PS3 games. I have played a lot of games on the PS3 so I have a pretty good judgment on some of the best games for the PS3. A certain group of games from the PS3's library stand out and that's the exclusives. The PS3 is finally kicking some ass with some of the best exclusives that continue to raise the bar. So my top 10 list will be of exclusive games. Without further a due here's the list.

10.

Infamous was an interesting sandbox game(think Assassin's Creed and GTA) that actually managed to create a unique super hero/Villain character with Cole MacGrath. He's around an explosion and ends up with lighting powers. You know the super hero stuff but the citizens blame him for the explosion which makes the whole thing interesting. It has a karma system which means you can play either as a hero or a villain which is awesome because not many games allow you to play as a good and a bad guy. It's a good game but the side missions are extremely repetitive, his best friend is pretty annoying, and it has a good amount of glitches unfortunately but it's good and hopefully the sequel fixes the issues it had.

I know a lot of people love LBP but I'm in the minority and just found it to be a good amount of fun with nothing mind blowing. It did manage to create a new genre with the whole user creation methods which I can respect and it's a good platformer. I'm just not a huge fan of this type of platformer and I found the game to be too sensitive. The slightest movement can mess up what you're doing. Lots of people praise the hell out of this so I'd check it out and see what you think.

8.

Resistance_Fall_of_Man_cover.jpg

Some people consider this to be the best launch game for any platform and some people actually prefer this over the sequel. I personally love this because it got me into multiplayer, was my first PS3 game and in general got me into first person shooters. I consider this and Resistance 2 to be the best competition for Halo in terms of Sci Fi style FPS games. The atmosphere in this game is phenomenal and the Chimera are some of the most interesting enemies in any game. The graphics all most look last generation however and it's dated now. But it's one of the best FPS's campaign wise.

7.

Valkyria Chronicles is a successful combination of the Strategy/RPG/3rd Person Shooter genres. It's difficult to explain so I'd recommend watching videos. The game has about 30+ hours in it, every character including side character are given detail, and the artistic style of the game is done well. But it's a strategy game which means it can be a pain in the ass.

6.

resistance2.jpg

The sequel to Fall of Man. Everything is improved in Resistance 2. It has some of the best gameplay from a FPS, has addicting co-op, unique weapons, and it has some of the absolute best multiplayer. Unfortunately it's campaign is extremely lackluster compared to the first but it's multiplayer makes up for some of it.

5.

Heavy-Rain-US-Art.jpg

It's an interactive thriller game. If you don't know what that means you should just check out some gameplay. This game isn't for everyone but I personally enjoyed it a lot. This game managed to create another new genre for the PS3 and it successfully creates emotions from players. I felt a lot of different emotions when I played this. It's just incredible that a video game managed to accomplish this. Four awesome characters, good replayability, and just a badass psychological thriller game.

4.

mgs4us_cover_small.jpg

A perfect ending to the MGS saga. One thing that separates this from other MGS games is the ability to play it using stealth or 3rd person shooter style and incredible detail on the story through use of many cutsenes. Yes they're long but they're fucking awesome. It's pretty much a combination of being a movie and a game. On the bad side it's multiplayer sucks.

3.

killzone-2-cover.jpg

The best first person shooter I've ever played. It has the best atmosphere, equal quality campaign and multiplayer which is very high quality, actually managed to look like a war with the amount of chaos, and Skirmish is a good alternative to co-op. But the multiplayer can be too clustered and Rico is an asshole. Still the FPS king though.

2.

img_god_of_war_3_com_cover_art.jpg

An epic conclusion to the God of War Trilogy. It has the best graphics period, flawless gameplay, the most brutality, consistently amazing boss battles, badass weapons/magic powers, and the scale is outstanding. However it's replayability is very weak. If it had better replayability it would probably be the best PS3 game.

Best game this generation. Nuff said.

Well what's your list?

1. Batman: Arkham Asylum. Easily the best Batman game ever made.

2. Resident Evil 5. I know a lot of people don't like it but I loved it. The nostalgia factor was awesome with Chris, Jill and Wesker returning to the game.

3. inFamous. The game had the hype and definately lived up to it. The story was great, the characters were great, the idea of choosing good or bad karma was a cool idea.

4. Metal Gear Solid 4. I had to take my eyes out a few times because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Fucking graphics in this game are amazing.

5. GTA4. So many hours invested in this game. Pretty much the only drawback for me were the similar missions and picking up friends to get them to stay in your good books. Sometimes, I had multiple characters call me....so then I would always have to disappoint one of them while I chill with the other.

6. Smackdown vs Raw 2010. I loved the create a show feature. I stopped getting wrestling games a while ago because they started to suck but this one got me back into it.

7. Wolverine. I honestly didn't expect this game to be THAT good. I ended up not being able to put the controller down once I started playing. That game was so fun and had great graphics. Came out as a real surprise. I thought it would suck like the movie.

8. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Stunning visuals, great story, had good replay value and likable characters.

9. Dead Space. Resident Evil lost it's scare factor over time but Dead Space brought it back. Scary game with an interesting story.

10. Yakuza 3. Just recently played it and liked it a lot. So many things to do, you really need to set a lot of time aside to fully complete this game. Shit from a murder investigation to batting cages, this game pretty much has it all.

I have a Blockbuster Video gamepass account. Basically, I pay $30 a month to rent an unlimited amount of games with no due dates. Both Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain, they only have one copy of each and they are always rented out so I am still waiting for them to be available. I don't buy games anymore unless it's games I MUST have, like Resident Evil or Ghostbusters. The rest are rentals. I already own enough games and most of them, I finish and never play again after I get all I need/can so it makes more sense to me to just rent games. Less money spent, more games played.

You will want to keep Uncharted 2. Trust me. I'm no Uncharted fanboy as I sold the 1st one because honestly it's not worth keeping and it's overrated but Uncharted 2 is one of the best games of all time.

^ id like to differ my friend :) I mean dont get me wrong I can see how you like uncharted 2 better than the first one, beause I sorta do aswell. However the first one was just as good as the second and it wasent over rated it was actually underated imo. Anyways Heavy Rain is worth buying aswell. There should be more downloadable content though.

Honestly I don't see how anyone can prefer Drake's Fortune. It's a little glitchy, has repetitive enemies, has no multiplayer, a few annoying platforming segments and some of the levels are just plain boring. But to each his own.
