Having it being sold as a ‘TV special’ is a little deflating but who cares once the show starts. The smaller venue is better for atmosphere cos stadium shows take that away imo. Plus - we get Kenny fucking Omega, Will Ospreay, OKADA, and Mercedes live in action, plus our girl Toni going for the gold. So I don’t give a fuck if it airs at 2am Wednesday morning, it’s gonna slap so hard live.

I think the build and promoting for Wrestle Dynasty was much worse if we're talking about the new non-PPV shows and that was allegedly bc WBD didn't want them promoting it on a "competing streaming service" which like lol I wouldn't admit NJPW is a competitor to Max if I were you but okay

I do also have a theory that WBD never actually made that directive but Tony thought it was implied and didn't wanna rock the boat right when the Max deal had just started that week. Plausible and makes them seem less petty

I hope he would not do that to his partner but it's not implausible. Esp if u believe he was the one who quietly shelved Colt and wasn't asked. But we will never know ig.

I do think both companies did a poor job overall at promoting it and need to plan stuff way longer in advance n have timing for int builds. I understand both had bigger ppvs to promote but this was just low effort
