This is for everything I plan on posting that has to do with 'not big' Japanese shows. By that I mean, not a tourney, and not Wrestle Kingdom.

Starting some things off with a NOAH card.

NOAH “GREAT VOYAGE 2012 in RYOGOKU vol.2”, 12/9/2012 [Sun] 15:00 @ Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo

(1) NOAH vs DIAMOND RING 3 Match Series: Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste vs. Mitsuhiro Kitamiya & Tsurugi

(2) NOAH vs DIAMOND RING 3 Match Series: Taiji Ishimori & Atsushi Kotoge vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Satoshi Kajiwara

(3) NOAH vs DIAMOND RING 3 Match Series: Mohammed Yone vs. Kento Miyahara

(4) GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Championship Match: [16th Champions] “Los Mexitosos” Super Crazy & Ricky Marvin vs. [Challengers] “NO MERCY” Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Genba Hirayanagi
~ 3rd Defense.

(5) GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship Match: [25th Champion] Shuji Kondo vs. [Challenger] Kotaro Suzuki
~ 2nd Defense.

(6) NOAH vs. AJPW Special 6 Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Yoshinari Ogawa & Atsushi Aoki vs. Taiyo Kea, Akebono & Kaz Hayashi

(7) NOAH vs. Jado-gun Special 6 Man Tag Match: KENTA, Maybach Taniguchi & Yoshihiro Takayama [Takayama Hall] vs. Atsushi Onita, Ichiro Yaguchi & Hideki Hosaka

(8) GHC Tag Championship Match: [26th Champions] Go Shiozaki & Akitoshi Saito vs. [Challengers] Naomichi Marufuji & Takashi Sugiura
~ 1st Defense.

(9) GHC Heavyweight Championship Match: [18th Champion] Takeshi Morishima vs. [Challenger] Satoshi Kojima
~ 8th Defense.
Personally, the card looks good. The Diamond Ring vs NOAH matches look interesting, but the card shines after. The Junior Tag Titles and Junior Title matches both look like they'll be good ones, and the six man tag one has the hilariousness of Akebono, who is actually a decent wrestler. The Onita six-man tag match worries me, because it's Onita, but as long as him and Takayama stiff each other, it should be fine. The other two matches, for the GHC Tag Titles and the GHC Heavyweight Title... look awesome. I trust Go and Saito to have an awesome match with Suguira and Marufuji. As for Morishima and Kojima, expecting a hard brutal fight, where both men refuse to give up. Morishima is a beast, and Kojima is always a great talent.

Really not that much into NOAH nowadays, they're kinda boring and the crowd sucks.

The only thing that I'll probably watch are Haste, Nicholls and the Main Event.

Kenta Kobashi Appears
Kobashi came out to address the rumors surrounding him this week and the future of his career.
He says the Tokyo Sports coverage of him was negative, but at the same time the injuries to his neck and left arm are a major setback. With his own judgement, Kobashi said that recovery is impossible despite any surgery he may undergo (Kobashi said that he underwent neck surgery in July.) …and he has indeed decided to retire.
Kobashi said that wrestling is his life, and he thanked all the fans who have supported him over the years. Then he said he plans to stand in the ring once again if he can reach the form to do so.
~ Kobashi will hold his retirement match on February 26, which also marks his 25th Anniversary as a Pro Wrestler.
There was no clear indication if this will be an actual match, or if his retirement will center around the show. I guess it all depends on how things go the next month for Kobashi. Kobashi said he would like to compete at least 1 more time, if nothing else.

~ Kintaro Kanemaru came out from the back and attacked KENTA, along with Onita, following the match.
~ A brawl continued between NOAH & Jado-gun.
~ Onita said that his only aim is against KENTA, but KENTA fired back and said that “no matter your aim, I am not interested in you.”
~ KENTA refused a singles match against Onita.

(8) GHC Tag Championship Match: [26th Champions] Go Shiozaki & Akitoshi Saito vs. [Challengers] Naomichi Marufuji & Takashi Sugiura

notes:
~ A very heated battle between both teams.
~ Shiozaki & Marufuji had a heated stare-down after the match.

~ Shiozaki bowed to the crowd as if he was saying goodbye.
~ No new information was released in regards to the possible withdraw of Akiyama, Shiozaki, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Atsushi Aoki & Kotaro Suzuki, but they lost all of their major matches today and the feeling is that they are indeed leaving. Again this is still a RUMOR until a formal announcement is made.

(9) GHC Heavyweight Championship Match: [18th Champion] Takeshi Morishima vs. [Challenger] Satoshi Kojima
?Winner: Morishima (20:17) following a Lariat and then the Backdrop Driver.
~ 8th Successful Defense.

GREAT VOYAGE 2012 in RYOGOKU vol.2 ... Yep, that was the title.

I warn you, it is a Japanese Show that's NOT NJPW... so it may be hard/impossible to find.
