Toonami is awesome and one of the two things I consider my childhood. It laid the foundation for pretty much everyone of my current interests (anime and Batman being the major two) and did so while also providing a nice series of it's own. Its the quintessential programming block in my opinion because it wasn't just bumpers. They provided us with reviews of video games, AMV's, and even some story-lines of its own that stuck with me growing up and lead to some relatively fun flash games. The only period I absolutely hated was Tom 4 and I don't even need to explain why that abomination was crap for any avid Toonami fan.

That said, I haven't actually been watching Toonami. I still support it and love it but I've branched off into my own anime block and I'm not really willing to add more to that list (currently watching 9 different anime). Besides, I've already seen plenty of the ones they're airing. However One Piece is a good edition to the Toonami catalogue and I'll gladly re-watch the Arlong Park arc when it gets to it. Maybe even the Alabasta arc, which is what I'm currently watching (and I'm sure I'll start enjoying it when they stop crossing the desert to Yuba, seriously it's been five episodes, the hell were they writers thinking adding in all this crap filler). Tom 5 looks pretty good from what we've seen. I'd rather have Sara back but whatever.

lol Toonami.

Remember watching that as a kid. No interest in it now though. I grew out of Anime few years back due to the in my mind corny storytelling. Kudos to whoever wants to watches it but I say lol.

For the record, all anime doesn't have "corny storytelling". Like every single medium of storytelling, there are a lot of differences between each style, and by the end the only real thing every anime has in common is that it's produced in Japan. Much like the only real thing all live action shows have in common is that they are live action.

I watched a Japanese movie of Yu-gi-oh by accident a few weeks ago, something to do with a black dragon. Was pretty good IMO.

It was based on a true story. Me.
