EDIT: oh and to Kev obviously the FPOD wiped out any and all booking decisions of Goldberg losing to Nash, be them good or bad. That was just egregious and unacceptable. But I'm looking at Nash over Goldberg independently of what happened after. Nobody can defend that, it's probably the #1 booking reason WCW is dead today

Wouldn't say it's the #1 reason, but it was a stupid decision. On the NWO Legends Of Wrestling Roundtable discussion that Nash was on, JR and others even brought up the stupidity of Nash breaking the streak only to lose the belt to Hogan just a week after wards (thus almost defeating the whole purpose of him breaking the streak.) To be fair, the original idea was Goldberg running through the reunited NWO until he made his way to Hogan and got the belt back, but then they decided to drop that completely.

#1 booking reason. Obviously their horrible management of finances is the #1 overall reason.

As for Jericho breaking the steak, like I said it is fun revisionist history but when he was in WCW he wasn't on that level. WWE made him seem like a big deal like WCW never did.

I know, that's why I said they should have built him into a serious heel first. Imagine WCW gave him the Y2J sort of persona and had him feuding with bigger names in the midcard for several months before the hypothetical breaking of the streak.

Like I said though that is all in hindsight. Why didn't WCW make Mark Calloway The Undertaker or Stunning Steve SCSA? Why did WWE book Hogan vs Flair at WM 8?

It is a lot easier to tell what should have or could have been done after the fact.

All I'm saying is I'm 100% positive the video surprised most of these noobs. They all picture Goldberg losing to Nash in their minds and they think the place is rioting like "HOW COULD NASH EVER DO THIS. THIS SICK SON IF A BITCH. HE BOOKED HIMSELF TO END THE STREAK THAT MOTHERFUCKER. FUCK HIM. WORST WRESTLER EVER. ELBOW, ELBOW, HIP, SIDESLAM, JACKKNIFE. BORING. FUCK."

when in fact they loved Nash and were sick of Goldberg. come at me haters

I was a huge nWo fan as a kid, so Nash ending Goldbergs stale like 2 year undefeated run was great on any level. I have always been a Jerichaholic, but wasnt that disappointed it was Nash. I equate it to CM punk, sometimes you need to lose, so when you start winning again you can go higher. Stupid way to put it, but i'm never wrong, so it works.:woo1:

Next time dont max out the title.
