I know you all are excited that I posted a thread finally today but that's not a big deal.

Really simple, what makes you watch TNA? Is it because it's just more wrestling? Do you think that the in ring skills are superior or more exciting than WWE? Do you think it has a better attitude than WWE does? Is it the fans?

Here is my reflection:

Plain and simple, I think TNA has been more exciting than WWE for the past year.

The X-Division is one of my favorite things in TNA because they are incredible. If you watch this pass Thursday's edition of iMPACT, you would see a great match with Kaz, Amazing Red, Generation Me, Motor City Machine Guns, and Brian Kendrick I believe. A couple weeks ago, you would see a truly AWESOME match between Generation Me and MCMG. These guys are truly one of the most elite divisions in professional wrestling today.

I also watch TNA for the Knockouts. Not because they're hot, but because they are much greater than the Divas. Pit ODB and Melina, or Tara and Maryse, Love and Mickie James, or even Kong and Phoenix. You still have Roxxi and th BP with TNA, but in WWE you have Kelly Kelly, Eve, Bella Twins, and Maria. IMO, the Knockouts just have much better matches.

The last reason is the feel of TNA iMPACT. In the Impact Zone, the fans look way more into it than the WWE crowd is. If you see it live, it's not the same but watching it on TV makes impact look much better and feel much better.

Those are the reasons, but the last one is debatable.

List or Discuss.

When taking about the crowds, it really depends which city you are talking about. Some cities have amazing crowds. Other cities have garbage fans who just stand there and look stupid. I don't think you can really pinpoint which brand has the better crowds in general. I've been to both a TNA show and a WWE show and the WWE excitement/energy blew the shit out of the TNA excitement/energy but when you watch both brands on TV, you can see that TNA sometimes has a better crowd than WWE and vice versa. Also, I think that not everything gets fuly picked up on TV......the crowd was thunderous at Raw when I went but it sounded quiter on TV.

Comparing TNA to WWE, I think they are both pretty much the same at this point. The Abyss/Hogan segment last night was pretty equal to the Springer segment on Raw. Both shows have resorted to pathetic segments and dumb storylines. The matching of Morgan and Hernandez is the equivalent of the matching of Big Show and The Miz. Just throwing random people together just to try to be 'fresh'.

TNA is just relying on old school names to get people to pay attention and that is lame. WWE took some chances, like making Sheamus the champ, which was a move not too many people expected. They got Kofi to take on Orton, instead of having the same old Orton/Cena shit all over again. They had Punk taking on Jeff. Good, fresh ideas that worked. TNA hasn't really done anything new, they just bring back old wrestlers that should be at home in a rocking chair. Any day now, NWO V2 will be walking down the aisle. Been there, done that, try something else. TNA should be making names instead of picking up the phone and calling guys like Hall and Waltman and Flair to get viewers while they kinda push their younger guys off to the side (not that WWE doesn't push talent to the side, they clearly waste Bourne).

I watch TNA just in hopes that they will do something different and interesting but they are no better than WWE. I just stay more connected and interested in WWE because I've been watching it so long and I personally think they have more likeable wrestlers that will keep me tuned in. TNA has way better female wrestlers, though, that's for sure.

To me, a lot of it has to do with TNA's effort to put on a good show, but yet still promote the PPV's. Using the legends with mic skills in promos. They use the good wrestlers, in good matches. They are utilizing the roster well.

Also listening to the fans. They respect their fans and put on a solid wrestling program. Yes, they still do some questionable moves, but all in all, they are trying their best.

I like TNA cause its a bit different from the wwe. But my question is what does TNA need to do to get up to wwe's level? Superstars wise is obvious , but they haven't got a bad roster so what else does TNA lack?

TNA drew me in via the Knockouts Division and the X-Division, both badly underused in their equivilents by the WWE. Probably also helped my fave Diva in 'Victoria' arrived as Tara, all I need now is Mickie James to switch and they're be nothing in the Divas worth watching.

Only been following TNA since about September last year, but I've really enjoyed the ride so far.

Tbh the road's been a little bumpy since Hogan and his entourage arrived, however it seems to be getting back on track the past three shows. Oh and I have to be honest as a an old WCW fan who had stopped watching before the dreaded 'Fingerpoke' incident, its been fun seeing Hall and Waltman on the TV again.

This is easy. The management is piss poor and filled with three ego maniacs (Russo, Bisch and Hogan) whom haven't had a bankable idea between them in over 11 years. They were self serving ten years ago, are self serving now and are out of touch with the times. And then the "owner" if that's money marks who aren't even in control are called, is probably the dumbest person to ever "run" a company. She's too enamored with name value to realize that her company is in no better place than it was six months ago for all the money being tossed around, mainly Spike's.

They had a plethora of booking talent, available to them at a good price, names like Foley, Tenay, Cornette, bring in a young cat like Lance Storm, if you're going to spend money for Bisch, why people still think he's a genius is beyond me, he's a great on-air talent but that's as far as it goes, then throw that money at someone who is PROVEN at making stars out of no-names...Paul fuckin Heyman, he made names out of no-talents like Raven, Tommy Dreamer, Tazz and RVD, he turned a bonafide indy into a national promotion on 1/15th the budget TNA has, with no names. He got PPV buy rates that TNA would need to sell 20 times the amount of PPV's they do now just to get into sniffing distance. TNA is a Paul Heyman wet dream, if he were in charge, WWE would take note, up their product and we could really be talking about a war. Instead TNA is ran by people Vince has already beaten and strangled in the ratings before, hired them and humbled them. It's not a war, it's an ambitious company ran by some bitter has-beens that has no clue how to evolve the industry, because they are 10 years behind with their heads up their own asses.THAT'swhy TNA can't and won't make the leap into legitimate competition.

Wow... Just Wow. lol

The main reason I started watching TNA back in the NWA-TNA days was simply for something different. At the time (2002ish) I was growing tired of the WWE mainly because that was when I started having some Monday Night War withdrawls lol. Up until mid-to late 2007 I honestly prefered TNA to the WWE, but after Kurt Angle jumped ship was when TNA stopped trying to be a alternative to the WWE (or as some may call them a ROH ripoff) as to a carbon copy of the WWE. I haven't watched TNA as avidly as I once did but It is still a good product; they are doing some good things with the X Division and the Knockouts who are far better then the Divas in the ring.

I agree it has been better TV than WWE for the past year for sure. However just because it is better than WWE does not in anyway means it's jaw dropping programming. Sure it is watchable, but it can always be better.

The matches are definitely better than WWE matches week in and week out. You can't be a Desmond Wolfe match that is for sure. Generation Me vs. MCMG was one of the best tag team matches I have seen in years probably.

Quoted for emphasis.

But to be fair, over the last few years imo the tag team division in the WWE has been piss poor and at time's TNA's was seriously lacking.

Because nothing else is on Thursday nights.

At this point it's mostly due to a select few on the roster. Kurt Angle, Desmond Wolfe, Joe, MCMG and Beer Money. It seems that Hogan has finally singled out his "dream team" on TNA and to be honest, I don't give a shit about any of them. I can't even say that it's because the product has more "edge" than WWE because as of late it's just blindly directed shit just for the hell of it to stand out from WWE. And no matter how much edgy stuff you put on TV, nothing is going to cancel out the train wreck that is the autistic baby, Abyss.

It's just an alternative to the better company which sometimes puts on good matches and from time to time has a decent edgy storyline. The degeneration of the company under Hogan's booking has more than begun and it's only a matter of time before he's lacing the boots and grappling with a saggy Ric Flair. And people wonder why Vince doesn't even respond.

I honestly don't see how TNA is much different from WWE. They both have piss poor storylines, some bad acting, lame matches.....
