I'm saying the idea that Punk would seriously consider it was a delusion.

No one said he was considering it, just that they made offers to him and Ospreay. Unless you count me memeing that Ospreay was gonna sign with TNA before he made his decision.

TNA has never outbid anyone tho, idk why anyone would expect them to now. Their biggest signings are like Sting and Kurt Angle. Angle was fired from WWE and Sting was boycotting them and had to be sweet talked by Dixie every single year to not retire even still

Bro, you remember like the annual sting watch because Sting only ever signed a one-year contract? He was like the mystery opponent for undertaker for like three wrestlemanias in a row at one point. :bosque

It was hilarious bc that was one of the things I remember dirt sheets really getting clowned for every year bc it never happened and then after his injury retirement in 2015 Sting was like "yeah we had the talks every year, I was always pitching the Taker match"

Yeah, I remember even one year they got the closest they had ever done and I think they even got to February and they even debut a vignette for Sting on television it was like 222 or something and then Dixie sweetened the pot somehow and he resigned with TNA for another year. But WWE had already started the angle so they had a swerve, lmao.

I think that was when they did the HHH match where they both returned same night and didn't say a word but they made it about taker ending HBKs career so it made sense.

The first vignette I remember everyone going nuts about the smoke at the end seeming to spell Sting, I could kinda buy it, I remember watching a lot and not being able to for sure say it was just a coincidence lmao

I believe Sting took the Victory Road 2011 match that year right after picking TNA instead :pull

The 2/21/11 vignettes were absolutely for Sting until TNA convinced Sting to stay, and he probably regretted it

One thing TNA did was immediately start their own "3/3/11" vignettes to remind WWE who actually had Sting

I will never understand why they sent Jeff out there like that. I genuinely think they should've replaced Jeff Hardy and stripped him of the title. Just pains me seeing the crowd chanting bs and Sting responding I agree

Yep that’s the one I was thinking of.

So Chris was right. He turned down taker for Hardy. Ouch.

A lot of miscommunication.

I will say at least Bischoff saw him on the monitor and came out before they even touched to kill it.
