2013 vibes. They went live around that time and it tanked the financesWOR: The Plan Is For TNA To Go Live
Meltzer: "One of the things they've been looking at, and it's not going to happen any time soon, but they want to go live. The idea is to go live and have a location where they would go every Thursday. And Full Sail University is one of the locations that they've talked about....and there are probably other locations as well".

- Dave says it would be difficult because Orlando already has NXT each week.
- Scott D'Amore and Lou D'Angeli already went to Full Sail to scout it out.
- There is some cost savings at Full Sail because they can have the students work on the production side and have students fill up the crowd.
- A problem is that they're selling some tickets now for their TV tapings. They would need to give tickets away for free if they did Full Sail every Thursday.
- Dave could see TNA doing a few test runs before the end of the year.
- Mentality is going live by 2025.
- Things may have changed with Scott no longer being there.
- Dave thinks going live would be a bit more exciting for the wrestlers but doesn't know if it will help TV ratings...especially on that channel.
- "Is it worth the extra cost for a company that is obviously trying to keep costs low? So... we'll see."
To be fair they had the same number of PPVs. Just, fewer ones that actually matteredGoing live is more costly, but it isn’t what killed their finances in 2013. It was going live while they also killed their only revenue source: pay-per-view.
While TNA was never AEW when it came to drawing buys, they still did around 35-50K buys per month and it was what keeping them afloat. Why they thought stripping that down to 4 a year and then in 2014 down to 3 would bring them in more money, I’ll never know, but it ultimately bankrupted them.
Don’t kill your only way to make money and then also increase your weekly expenses.
Oh yeah, that’s right I always forget they had those one night only things, but nobody bought those. They were taped like four months in advance, and everybody knew the results of them.To be fair they had the same number of PPVs. Just, fewer ones that actually mattered
I only recently found out they are. They're not in the PPV section or in the "exclusive shows" section with the 2018-on ONOs, they're in their own tabI wonder if those things are on TNA plus? I’m thinking even anthem at this point wants to forget those things existed.
