Re: Official Impact Discussion Thread
I didn't think this was a bad show. Definitely a story driven week, but nothing made me cringe which is definitely a good thing where TNA is concerned. The opening promo from Roode was fantastic, I would love to see him get another singles run down the line (As much as I like Beer Money.) The mentioning of Jay Lethal surprised me and it makes me wonder if him leaving is just a way of jumpstarting the X-Division revolution story.
Suicide vs. Sangriento was alright, nothing special. I find Amazing Red more interesting working under a mask than I do when he is just himself; which is odd. Mexican America is falling flat on it's face thus far, as far as I'm concerned. I'm a big fan of Hernandez/Sarita, but this whole angle just seems so forced. Wish Daniels/AJ vs. Ray/Gunner would have gone longer, the Dreamer heel turn came out of no where.
Terry vs. Murphy was weird, though them getting rid of Murphy from Immortal is fine with me. Hogan and Bischoff shitting over the match backstage made the whole thing worthless. Tessmacher/James was your basic women's match. I have a feeling Mickie will win Taras freedom and then Tara will turn on her, wanting a title shot. I'm not opposed to that either, it feels like Mickie/Madison has been going on forever.
Main event was fine, glad to see the X-Division getting somewhat of a spotlight.
