I believe it's part of the owner Anthem's logo. The took the A and bird from Anthem and put it in the Impact.

I heard this was a possibility when they made Jeff Jarrett Executive Producer (in charge of creative). I'll certainly watch some episodes that I know for a fact Jarrett and Dutch had full control of and it give a one last chance.
