"ENGLAND FANS GET SOME GREAT NEWS - TNA ANNOUNCES RETURN TOUR OF THE UK IN JANUARY!

In recent days, TNA management promised some big news for our loyal fans in England, and TNA President Dixie Carter delivered it personally during Saturday's sold-out show in Coventry!

TNA Wrestling will return to the U.K. for four shows in January, 2009, Carter announced during the live event. The 2009 shows will headline the "Maximum iMPACT! Tour." The itinerary is:

Tuesday, January 20 - Manchester, England - Manchester Evening News Arena
Wednesday, January 21 - Birmingham, England - National Indoor Arena
Thursday, January 22 - Glasgow, Scotland - Braehead Arena
Saturday, January 24 - London, England - Wembley Arena
Tickets for all these events go on sale on Friday, June 27 at 9 A.M.
The tour will be promoted by John Cornwell of SJM Concerts.

"The reception TNA Wrestling received this week from the U.K. fans has been nothing short of incredible and we look forward to returning in January," Carter said.

Keep checking www.tnawrestling.com for more details on the January 2009 U.K. tour."

I'm personally not sure the arena choices are wise ones, those are massive arenas. The small arena was what made it good, plus I don't think TNA are going to sell out, nowhere near. But I'll still go.

FUCKING YES!

I missed out on this years tour so I'm sure to be going to next years one and it should be pretty cool considering I'm going to see Raw a couple of months beofre it as well. I just wanna see the highflying style of TNA 'cause with WWE and the move limitations I've never seen a suicide dive happen right in front of my eyes :(

Well yes there is that, but I think they've gone way too big too quick, WWE goes to those arena's not TNA. I think they've done a booboo, personally. And I wanted to go ringside which is now gonna cost a bomb and I won't be able to afford at that time.

Just to give you an idea of why I think this is so crazy, TNA on average draws 40,000 in the ratings.

The Manchester Evening News has a capacity up to 21,000! Yes that's right.
Wembley is 12,500
and Birmingham is 13,000...

Just a tad large there.

Haha, I coulda guessed gashface and Switchy would've been the first to post in this thread. Good news for TNA, maybe they can have another few sellouts. Hopefully one of these shows can be taped for "Global iMPACT! II," and be released on DVD. I'd KILL to see a house show on Global iMPACT!.

I think they should bring a PPV out to England. From the reports I've read the crowds were electric every stop of the past tour...so that would make for some fun stuff to watch because God knows the crowd at the last PPV was shit-tastic.

The Brentwood Centre this tour £7 per ticket (x 1500-odd); Wembley Arena next tour est. £35+ per ticket (x 12,000)... Jeeeez, they WISH they had such an increase in punters!

I'd be awfully nervous if I had money invested in TNA right now!

I missed the tour, but the next one is a week after my birthday so I know what my birthday present will be.
