So the Bischoff promo was obviously to tell Sting & Hebner to just end it straight away?

I think it was just to waste time. They still had 20 minutes left on the PPV and they ended up shutting it down 10 minutes earlier than they normally would anyway.

I gotta believe Jeff is done for awhile in TNA but then again it is TNA so he'll probably main event the next PPV.

I personally thought the guy would get it together after he had his kid but that doesnt seem to be the case.

F4W said:
- Sting retained the TNA World Heavyweight Title in the main event of tonight's show in a very quick and unusual match against Jeff Hardy. Eric Bischoff came out before the match and made it No DQ, before Sting laid him out. There wasn't much physical contact in the match as Sting hit the Drop out of nowhere and pinned Hardy for the odd win.

There's no word yet on why the quick finish happened but we do know that Sting is in bad shape, more than originally thought. It would have made sense for Sting to drop the title if he was injured but he retained. The show ended tonight with a long recap video of earlier matches and an empty ring shot. Taz and Mike Tenay played it up like Sting had just re-invented himself with the win over Hardy.

- PWInsider reports that numerous TNA sources indicate that the main event for the TNA World Heavyweight Title at tonight's Victory Road pay-per-view lasted only 1 minute and 28 seconds because of backstage concern over Jeff Hardy. Other speculation is that Sting wouldn't agree to wrestling a long match with Hardy if he was in bad condition. More details on what happened tonight should be coming out in the next few days.

For what it's worth, Jeff Hardy's court date on drug charges is next Monday, March 21st.
So it was either down to TNA putting the belt on an injured old man, or it was down to a drug addict who shouldn't even be in the company anymore. Judging by the way it went down, it looked like the latter.

If that shit is the case then how about not having either of them be your top guys. I know Dixie loves Sting but that is crazy to have that as your main event.

Can't believe I never found this place sooner. Anywho.. here's the first of what I hope is many posts. :D

All I can say is.. WOW. After weeks of telling people TNA is slowly getting there, this happens. There's no excuse for Jeffy Hardy's demeanor and I'm interested in someone replaying it over and over, and getting exactly what Bischoff said to Hardy as he walked up to him.

However, I can say two things:

1) I'm sure Jeff was under the influence of something.

2) I have an underlying feeling that his apathy towards the company comes from the fact that Sting just walked back into the company and took the belt. He's up there in age, and TNA seems to be doing what WCW did; not putting the more valuable talent over.

This could have been some sort of protest against workers accomplishing terrific feats on name alone. Yes, Sting is an icon. A legend. But he should be using this time to help put the younger talent over, and teach them as much as possible before his time is up. Not hogging the belt.

Just my two cents. Again, glad to be here. Just sad it had to be found based on my hatred for what was a minor league PPV. Honestly, I would have much rather watched an OVW show.

Good 1st post that I pretty much agree with. Was joking when watching it saying Jeff looked like he was high or something cause he really did. Must have been to lose like that.

There was no dark match or off-air happenings after Victory Road. The fans in the arena chanted "Bullsh**" while Jeff Hardy was walked to the back by security. On the way out of the arena, a lot of fans were talking negatively about the show with people wondering what all this meant, about Hardy's upcoming court date or whether Sting was injured.

I rewatched this and noticed Bischoff said something to Hardy while shaking his hand. First time around I thought it was because of them being with Immortal but now I wonder if he was telling Jeff what the new plan was.

Steven Fat sent word that there was lots of confusion among the live audience at the Impact Zone following the quick main event result. According to Steven, Bischoff was noticeably seen telling Sting something after dropping the mic. Security quickly rushed Jeff Hardy to the back who was trying to rile up the crowd to chant "BULLSH*T" over the finish.

Really wonder what really was up with that esp if Jeff was trying to get the fans to chant bullshit.

Although there are many reports online at this moment regarding why the main event at Victory Road went only one minute, twenty eight seconds, the fact is that no one really knows yet what happened in the ring.

Here's what we have gathered, at this hour, from a variety of sources.

There was general concern throughout the day on the condition of Jeff Hardy. The finish of the match was never discussed with agents, announcers, or the production truck as a one minute, twenty eight second match. Sting's physical limitations based on age and/or injury were not a factor.

There are two stories floating around right now. One is that the Bischoff announcement was designed to kill time, and Bischoff was sent down with what is called "an audible" (last minute change) to switch the finish. The other is that Sting, who was noticeably angry in the dressing room before the match (supposedly based on what he felt was Hardy's condition), "hooked the finish" and just ended the match after the first move, with referee Brian Hebner either counting three or being told from the back to get out of the match by counting three.

Either way, it will be very interesting how TNA President Dixie Carter handles this latest explosive situation in her dressing room.

We are working on several other stories arising out of this controversy. Keep checking back with WrestleZone tonight for much more.

Some reports say that Sting wouldn't let Jeff kick out and basically decided to not work with him. I can't say I blame him if Jeff was high.

With that said, bank on Eric and Russo to make Jeff Hardy the equivalent of Scott Under The Influence Hall in WCW

Looking at it again it does seem kind of like the way Sting pinned him it was in a way where Jeff couldn't kick out when it looked like he was trying to. Esp also since Jeff didn't bother selling the move at all either. So yeah some fuck up shit went down just curious as to what the story behind it is.

If Jeff was high, he should be fired and consider taking Vince up on his rehab offer. He has a kid and wife now to think about.
