Wrestling fans in the capital were already in for a treat this weekend, with eight matches from the Frontier Wrestling Alliance set to rock the London MCM Expo. But now there is a huge extra reason to head to ExCeL London for this unmissable two-day showcase, as it has been confirmed that TNA Wrestling stars
Douglas Williams and
Beer Money will be making special appearances on Sunday 30th May!
Williams, one of the finest wrestlers of his generation and a former two-time FWA British Heavyweight Champion, has been proudly flying the flag for Britain in TNA in recent months – first winning the TNA World Tag Team Championships as part of the British Invasion and now enjoying his second reign with the X Division Title. Just three weeks before he makes a high-profile return to the FWA in the main event of “The Art of Warâ€, Williams heads to London to meet with the 60,000 fans expected to pass through the doors of ExCeL London.
Alongside Williams will be two of his strongest rivals in the TNA tag division. James Storm and Robert Roode, collectively known as Beer Money, are former 3-time TNA world tag team champions and are among the most charismatic teams the wrestling world has seen in recent memory. As well as their run-ins with the British Invasion, the duo have had memorable feuds with Team 3D and the Main Event Mafia but are currently acting as enforcers for Eric Bichoff. Boasting a huge worldwide fan following, Roode and Storm can expect a busy weekend in London.
Williams and Beer Money will be appearing on Sunday 30th May from 1pm, but there is a full weekend of wrestling action to be enjoyed at the London MCM Expo. TNA Wrestling will be present all weekend, while the FWA showcases the very best talent in the UK. Having been true pioneers of European wrestling for over a decade the FWA is now embroiled in a battle for its soul, as reigning World Heavyweight Champion Martin Stone leads a gang of stars who think British wrestling’s only purpose is as a stepping stone for their aspirations of performing in America. Will they be proved right or will the remaining members of the FWA roster prove that British wrestling still has the potential to be a world leader in its own right?
