Maybe it's Tara. Oh and the Sabin stuff is just directed at Rain being his fan still during his horrible TNA belt run.

Would make sense for KK and Lashley to qualify and for EY to fight against the odds in the cage match, you know, since that has been the main feud. I guess. I'm also not sure on putting the belt on Joe or Aries, even though it'd be great to see them as champs I think it would be a little bit out of the blue and have nothing to do with the main event program they worked for so long.

It would make sense, but chances are Roode would probably interfere. I'd be okay with it if this wasn't a Steel Cage match, to be honest. Also, I want for Joe or Aries to be champion when the time is right because they haven't been champion in ages (not sure about Joe, actually... I only got into TNA mid-2012) and it needs to be a feel-good moment like EY's win was (although it wouldn't been better if TNA wasn't in the slump it is stuck in now). Heck, I'd actually like to see EY vs Storm sometime soon.

Yeah, Roode interference is likely, but I don't know, perhaps MVP will come down on crutches or something and Roode will beat him up or something. But him helping EY when he's outnumbered and there's cheating involved is fine (since the days when cage matches meant no interference are long gone). I'd also be down for Joe and A Double winning the belt, I love both guys, but I just don't think tonight would be the best night. EY vs Storm also sounds cool! I like Storm a lot.

I'd say that would happen; and I don't think the guys in charge of booking the event will be trying to pull off any kind of major swerve in the main event because those times for TNA should be over; Sacrifice showed that the main event is better without swerves at your 4 major PPVs a year. I'm ready to mark out for Roode when he does help EY. I think that Storm is a better heel than face, mainly because of how badass he can be with the "Sorry... not sorry!" thing and his theme song which just oozes "I'm gon' kick yo ass, son!"

But anyway, lets all imagine if Mike Tenay gets inducted into the HoF.

:burns:

You can take that idea and shove it up your ass!

Don West for HoF

And it never gets a rise out of me, lol. That reign was only horrible in hindsight... :please: Fuck Tito Ortiz.

It has taken me a while but right now I am finally excited for TNA Slammiversary :), the new main-event is much preferred to the original one. Like most people I am predicting that EY will defend the title against both Lashley and King...even though neither of them have won nearly enough singles matches to warrant a title shot.

So who is going to be here for the live discussion later? @Snowman @Testify

Well, Lashley has pinned the World Champion twice. Including a totally clean win last Thursday.

This is very true, I guess I just have a personal preference of building people slowly then when they do get a title shot it feels more deserved. How many singles matches has Lashley had in TNA since he returned? Maybe 6 or 7? I don't think a person deserves to main-event a company's second-biggest PPV based on that little ring time.

According to their twitter machines and common sense, the 2/3 of the Bromans, Jesse Godderz & DJ Zema Ion are in Texas today and will be tonight live at Slammiversary, presumably in a match against the debuting Von Erichs since the Bromans aren't scheduled to have any other match tonight.

Robbie E is not scheduled for the show because of the reality show with Brooke Tessmacher.

According to less credible dirtsheets that that ^, the Menagerie will be appearing toninght (probably in their own segment) because they want the local appeal of ex-Cowboy cheerleader Rebel on the show. But common sense says you don't showcase the Von Erich's in a match with Rob Terry lulz.

(I'd just have her gorgeous self come out with Steve)

Hey Leo, great post up there about EY retaining. Appreciate the analysis, brother!
