TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Sting (c) vs. RVD

TNA champion Sting vs. Rob Van Dam will headline the 5/15 TNA Sacrifice PPV.

So Anderson misses out and RVD gets the title shot. This is a tough choice in deciding who will win. Sting wouldn't have come back for a short title reign so it makes sense for him to retain it at another PPV. Then again I expect RVD to be given a title reign soon since he never lost his title he vacated it and he probably has a guarantee in his contract. I am going to back Sting here but I am not confident.

Is it actually RVD who gets the shot? Reason I ask is cause Sting said he had the right in his contract from the network to pick his opponent. If it is however, I would have preferred Sting v. Anderson over Sting v. RVD. My thing is RVD to me just isn't doing anything for me. I find him boring and stupid. But I think the two can put on a decent match, hopefully better then the past two PPV's.

I have read that this is the match on a couple of news sites. I haven't seen Impact yet so I haven't seen Sting announce it but supposedly this is the PPV mainevent.

I would have gone with Sting vs Anderson as well since it seems like those two have had more interaction in the past couple of months and it just seemed clear that he would be ahead of RVD.

One thing they could do with this if they wanted to go for something different, is suggest that Sting chose Van Dam, because Anderson is the younger and freshen guy who maybe poses the greater threat to Sting's title, have Sting retain at Sacrifice, and then have it hinted at after that, and build up a feud from there with Anderson eventally winning the title.

But yeah this main event does little for me. Like Troy said it is tough to call, because clearly RVD is one of the in guys as far as management is concerned so you can see him getting another title run at some point, but I think Sting will retain here.

A month later and I am thinking that Sting will retain here. It has already been confirmed that at the next PPV Mr Anderson will challenge for the title. I see Sting vs Anderson for the title again and Anderson winning. I have no idea where RVD can go from here, maybe feuding with Angle or Jarrett?

Think this could be solid as these probably are the most over guys in TNA right now (not saying much). Don't see Sting losing though but Hogan could cost him the match I guess.
