*Note: If you have yet to read the Impact 12th spoilers then look away now as this thread includes the name of Matt Hardy's mystery partner.*

TNA Tag Team Championship
Beer Money (c) vs. Matt Hardy & Chris Harris

TNA teased that Matt Hardy would bring back Jeff to reform The Hardys but instead they went for Chris Harris. Harris does have history with James Storm and is a prominent tag tea wrestler so it is a logical choice. The only issue is that Harris is supposedly in Braden Walker shape rather than AMV shape. I don't expect this to be a wrestling classic.

Who do you think will win? What do you think of the team of Matt and Harris?

If Beer Money has to put over two more fat, out of shape disappointments I would be screaming for them to quit.

The sole purpose of this whole power struggle bullshit should be to get over your younger roster, only an idiot would think promoting the past instead of the future is a good idea.

There is no way Beer Money will lose here. They are the established tag team and losing the titles to some washed up stars would make them and the titles look bad. Because of that TNA will probably book a title change.

Being TNA, I wouldn't doubt Storm turns on Roode and we get an AMW reunion.

Roode should be a maineventer already.

Seeing as this is TNA I wouldn't doubt they hotshot this shit as soon as possible. That company is ADHD with everything.

I don't agree that Roode should be a main eventer by now, as when TNA first tried to push him as a solo star he bombed, but that is different issue.

I do like the twist of Harris returning as Hardy's partner, but there is no way they should be champions, and like Troy said I doubt it will be much of a match.

Roode's first single run bombed because he was paired up with a shit valet and a terrible feud with Eric Young. How are you supposed to get yourself over when you are stuck in a shit feud that ends up with you jobbing to Jeff Jarett?

Roode has been poised for mainevent status since he left Team Canada.

I think you underestimate how hard the step up to singles wrestler from Tag Team is, it is possible he is ready to have another run now, but at the time I just think he failed to make the step up. I don't think you can totally blame the booking squad, yes they got things wrong with Roode, but they also gave him some good chances to get over which he didn't take. Look at the feud with Booker T, on paper that feud was gold, but it never delivered, and the matches were avenge. And that is the thing Roode didn't produce in ring as a solo star that has nothing to do with the booking team.

I don't undestimate the power of becoming a star no matter how you started. Robert Roode has the "It" factor it needs to become a player, the fact that he isn't a priority in TNA just proves their inability to get anyone over without them making their name somewhere else.

The booking is everything to blame when it comes to Roode, he was made into a bit player on the TNA Frontline, and he was still in a tag team at that time. If he was riding solo, he would've done more, but since he was still in Beer Money, he just went back to that after the angle was dropped.

When most of the best performers are asked who should TNA push, Robert Roode is a name that always comes up.

But he had already bombed before the whole frontline thing, so you can't blame that, and like I said he was given a number of promising feuds, and he didn't deliver, I am not saying it was all down to him, but he has to take his fare share of the blame.

Like you I really like the guy, he does have that classic Ric Flair/Rick Rude heel factor, and works the crowd fantastic, the main problem was he didn't build on his act. But like I said now he might be ready, Beer Money have had a good run and can't do much more, it is now or never for Roode.

I just explained why his singles run bombed though. Traci Brooks/Eric Young/Jeff Jarrett. Nothing left to say about that.

He had great Macho Man vignettes where all time great managers were trying to be his manager, but it fell flat because he brought out the girl who used to do the Bentley bounce and nothing else.

Feuding with Eric Young didn't do him any favours, it was a stupid feud and Jarrett coming to Youngs aid and burying this diamond in the rough in the process. It's not because Roode wasn't ready, it was because he was stuck in a feud where no one knew where the seriousness or the comedy began and as a result, no one cared about.

Roode has the build, charisma, in ring psychology, promo skills to be a star. TNA has wasted him for 4 or 5 years.

And as always you choose inoure the points I made like the one about the Booker feud. Look at Roodes matches at the time they just weren't good enough, it wasn't all down to the booking, you just can't get over your TNA baise.

What about Booker? I overlooked it, because it wasn't a singles run. It was a throw away match that was midcarding the MEM angle.

TNA BIAS? No. I hate the shows, simple as that. It doens't mean I'm not a wrestling fan because I think a shows booking is total shit. I'm also not a WWE fanboy as you would probably try to point out later in this conversation. When something is terrible, its up to people to voice their opinion on such things, but this doesn't have anything to do with what we were talking about.

Robert Roode should be a main eventer, it's not a hard statementt to grasp, TNA fucked up his run by giving him a shit gimmick, with a shit manager with a shit feud. Notice how he and James Storm became a tag team soon after this.

Singles matches in major angle consisting of two stables doesn't make it a singles run.

So does anyone think that Harris and Hardy will win the titles?

I really hope they don't but TNA are unorthodox and like to surprise the fans so it is very possible.
