Crayo's spoiler saved me getting irritated at night.

This.

Briscoe was obvious and Bischoff was suspected and rumored many times

Don't see how this is so bad.

To make this fucking angle work, this stupid stable needs some star power. Brisco and Bischoff aren't it.

I think heel Bischoff will surprise you. It's something a lot of us here have wanted for a long time, it could really work.

There's nothing I'd like more than to be wrong in this situation, but I have a feeling I won't be.

Meh. I think you were expecting too much from this angle, though I agree it's been disappointing and shit, but it's not like TNA was going to get Randy Orton or CM Punk type guys.
Also, the leader could still be Bully Ray which could be nice.

I just want them to succeed so badly. They put so many eggs in this basket and IMO its sinking :upset:

A couple of you may remember when I said I had to go back to doing house duties and left the thread last night. (It's more difficult trying to do discussion threads through Tapatalk anyway.) I would wind up leaving just before Aries and Roode came out. Anyway, thought some of you might appreciate how that went for me:

* Gets up and goes to the kitchen. Starts drying and putting away dishes. Suddenly hears, "You're all a bunch of wankers!" :lol1: Nice.

I had to go as well, so thought I'd steal GrammarNazi's gimmick and just do the rest of the commentary in le spoiler tag below, Twitter-style.

ARIES AND ROODE :yay:! Roode looks awkward in this little group though, but anything's better than Los Stereotypicos... Yeah, Hernandez, you better cheat to help your buddy hahahaha you failed. The tag team trying to milk face pops from name-dropping Eddie just got out-cheated, lol. WDT 2, NBG 0.

My thoughts on Garett and Wes helping out Joe backstage: "Why on earth does Joe have to sell injuries from these losers?" Even if it wasn't spoiled, I'd think the same thing. Didn't we all predict this 7 months ago? #wwelogic

I love Bruce Pritchard, but you can't pull off a good long-term angle, nor pay one off. So... this entire "Brooke hates Bully bonking his daughter" angle was just to lead to Hogan being pissed at the Aces and Eights, which he already was? What a complete and utter waste of time.

So Bully's still suspended somehow, he's married somehow, and through the magic of Hulk Hogan, we get a segment that could be done in a few seconds of a backstage pretape, in the ring, for 12 minutes. What a complete and utter waste of time, brother jack dude.

Velvet looks miserable... is this because she's here to show TNA (and not Total Nonstop Action) to a whole new audience? "I've got something I need to take off my chest"? Take it slow, baby.

So, James Storm has gotten Mr. Anderson's old role of showing up at random times to the amusement of TNA and nobody else. So James Storm's now the wrestling equivalent of a penis joke.

"We'll have further information on the Jeff Hardy situation next week"... uggggggghhhhhhhhh

Taz sounds like he's stuck doing the same crappy commentary he's done for years, then periodically he remembers "Oh, yeah, I'm supposed to be a heel" and then gets really over the top, annoying, and still crappy.

Call it IWC blasphemy, but Angle looks gassed a minute into the cage match... and through the match this guy's looking old as hell. Anderson's a guy who needs to be carried, and Kurt's not that guy anymore.

I was spoiled of the Garett and Wes thing by my own accord since I don't really care, and they still found a way to be underwheming. Never underestimate the power of Garett's suckdom. The reveal was okay in theory, but that beatdown was so weak it was about on par with how the entire faction ran into Hogan's fists. This faction sucks lol

Lots of negatives, but this awesome European crowd, Magnus, and Joseph Park really helped this show.

Review!

Matches
- Thought Magnus vs. Devon is for the TV title, but not.... Fuck it then. Anyway, this was a good match, the crowd LOVED Magnus, and Devon played his part well (obviously). Magnus is the boss.
- PARK! Park vs. Robbie E was a loads of fun, almost perfect storytelling, selling and the whole situation with this. And how awesome was Rob Terry when Robbie E insulted him? Lmao. This was hilarious.
- Austin Aries vs. Chavo Guerrero was Chavo's best match in TNA (obviously), and I think you Aries brought the best out of him here, and Chavo can't do better than this. Overall, the call out was good, the segment worked, and the match was good.
- Velvet Sky & James Storm vs. Tara & Godderz was solid, nothing much. Velvet gets her win back, and goes back to hunting Tara and her title, probably at Lockdown.
- Kurt Angle vs. Ken Anderson in the cage was fucking awesome. Just a greatly structred match with lots of entertaining stuff, and the crowd ate it up. Early TV MOTYC. Great job by Kurt and Ken.

Segments
- Bad Influence promo was awesome way to kick off the show, really. Every week, they're bloody awesome. Magnus was also good, this guy is a stud.
- Hogans/Bully/Sting was OK, and the pop the Stinger got was just amazing. I'm interested in this story now, even though I don't like Brooke, but there's always Sting and Bully to save things. Hulk is just Hulk, always firing up the crowd, and he's just out there. Tables match next week should be balls awesome.
- Wes Brisco and Garett Bischoff reveal was kinda predictable, we all saw it months ago, but this was a good, logical reveal anyway. Heel Garett could work extremely WELL if booked right.
- And btw, what a great camera shots through the evening. :obama: The arena looked awesome.
Overall

7/10 - good job, TNA.

So, next week according to the preview:

- Bobby Roode and Austin Aries vs. Hernandez & Chavo for the Tag gold
- Kenny King vs. Zema Ion vs. RVD for the X gold
- Tara vs. Tessmacher in non title action
- Rockstar Spud makes his debut
- Sting & Bully Ray vs. Aces & Eights in a BFG rematch, now in tables match

Pretty hyped, tbh. Fingers crossed for one title change at least!

That sounds amazing! Shoot, with those title matches they can tell plenty of stories without the title even changing hands... So many reasons for optimism.
