Janssen Suspended

New Jersey's Cam Janssen will miss three games after being suspended by the NHL on Saturday for his hit on Toronto's Tomas Kaberle, according to TSN of Canada.

Kaberle was taken off the ice on a stretcher after being blindsided by a late hit in the second period Friday night.

Kaberle was hit in the head by Janssen about 2 or 3 seconds after he made a pass in his own end of the ice. The Toronto player then fell to the ice and hit his head against the side boards at the Continental Airlines Arena.

Kaberle lay on the ice for a couple of minutes before he sat up. A neck brace was attached and then he was placed on a stretcher and wheeled off the ice.

A Maple Leafs spokesman said Kaberle was alert after being taken off the ice and that he was being taken to a hospital for observation.

Referees Kelly Sutherland and Brad Watson didn't call a penalty on the play.

Janssen will miss New Jersey's games against Boston, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and could return at Buffalo on March 10. He will forfeit $7,220.16 because of the suspension without pay.

A event in TNA history gets named whether it be a feud, a result in a match, a signing, etc. You say whether you think it should have went down differently or kept the same cause you think it was the right thing and explain why either way.

Taking out how messed up the storyline has gone since then and Hardy's personal problems, it was the right move at the time. Turning Hardy heel and giving him the belt was the big shock they where looking for, and I think it was executed well. Putting the belt on Anderson or Angle just wouldn't of provided the shock they where looking for.

Change: It just shouldn't have happened considering he just doesn't need to be the champion anymore let alone in the fashion that he did it becoming the savior over the other guys who should have done it over him like AJ or even RVD.

Signing RVD

Change.

He's done absolutely nothing of note since coming in other than be his mediocre self. Granted his pop when he debuted was fucking insane, but I could honestly say that TNA would be in no better or worse shape had he not bothered signing at all.

This one's a bit recent and slightly similar to Ben's, but Sting signing another new contract this year.

Keep. Say what you want about what they did with him, but signing him was a must after WWE inadvertently gave him a ton of heat with the 2.21.11 videos. It's a rare case where I'm okay with them making a short-term splash to capitalize on something.

Change: I really think he was doing a great job with the world elite gimmick and could have been a good serious heel if handled right but of course they messed that up. He would have been much better off in that role.

Keep: They brought in the highest rated Impact in history on Jan 4 with their debuts. Granted the rating has stayed the same since then but thats got nothing to do with either of them imo.

Keep: It needed to happen and made a lot of sense to have them split from them and if done right can look very credible from this.

Keep: I have no problem with them signing her. The problem is the way they introduced her and have used her since.

Change: Just was a total waste of time that did nothing for TNA or the people involved in anything with him.

Keep: No doubt the most over face/heel tag team in TNA if not the entire industry since they formed. One of Russo (I assume it was his) best ideas.

Change: Ended up imo being a waste of time and did nothing for either guy. Would have been better off doing their own thing.
