Did anyone think a Alex Shelley from Paparazzi Productions would be the 3rd longest World Champion. As much I love Shelley I for sure didn't think that would happen for him but happy it did.

I did and I didn’t. When he was doing Paparazzi around 2007 or so, I thought he could be a future champion. He was always a good worker and that showed he had the personality for it. By the time he retired a couple times, I assumed this was just another short return run, but he showed us.

I’ll be honest, if it wasn’t for TNA returning, I think he should have put Alexander over, but he was the perfect candidate for the rebirth and transition from Impact to TNA and in the end he put over Moose. The perfect guy to carry the company moving forward.

Yeah he had plenty of talent back then I just wondered if the Company back then thought of him at the level rather than just a good hand within the Tag and X-Division. Awesome to see him break out of that fold like alot of the X-Division guys of his era did over time.
