I believe the basis for the working with WWE rumor is a combination of the old Endeavor Streaming news and the recent TNA+ video calling their shows PLEs and WWE making a "major announcement" on Thursday which is TNA day

But why would they counter program a clip show

I can’t believe it’s happening. Part of me thinks this would have made for a great surprise debut, but I get needing to promote as much as they can in advance since this PPV really didn’t have a go home show or a road to if we’re being honest. I hope not. Hammerstone would be a perfect pillar for a new TNA. He can always court a bigger deal after establishing himself in TNA. I do think he’ll probably circuit GCW, Revolver or Japan, but he can certainly still do that in TNA.
