If he were 6'2 he'd have a longer reign than Sammartino.
Yea, I'm not super into a guy having to have "the look" but there are certain guys you really have to try to suspend disbelief for. I am a massive Aries mark and honestly him beating Roode for the belt in 2012 is one of my favorite wrestling moments since i started watching again as an adult, but I could never buy into him say beating HHH in a night then beating Orton and Batista in a triple threat to win the title all with a broken shoulder or whatever.

He's a guy that could instantly bring cred to the IC title like he did with the X-div title. Let him run with it for a year and it has it's former importance back. As long as he's booked in feuds of course.

I agree, but how dare you gloss over me making fun of how ridiculous Dick Butt's stupid hulk hogan booking has been!

edit: this was in response to Senhor, obviously.

Listen bro, I never see you mark for DB or anything, so I assume you are neutral on him. I'm going to turn you into a hater, because let's face it, his support will wane soon. People will start to realize he is nothing more than an overexposed boring vanilla midget fuck head who is now the pocket sized version of Cena.

I really liked Bryan Danielson. I prefer the American dragon gimmick over the yes/no gimmick but he's a much more entertaining guy than Orton or Batista. Unless they're putting the strap on Cesaro or reigns any time soon he's really the best option considering Lesnar is still part time.

Being more entertaining than Orton or Batista shouldn't equate to anything. 90% of the roster accomplishes that "monumental feat"

Bleh, Fuck Bryan. Dude needs to get lost. The same old shit he pulls out every week can only keep him afloat for so long. Soon people will realize what I've known all along. This dude is just a boring little asshole.

Absolutely every single wrestler who becomes the top guy becomes repetitious. From flair to hogan to Austin to Cena. Other than Bret and Shawn I can't think of any other champion who'd have a different match every time out and didn't use a formula.

To varying degrees you are right, but some are worse than others, and Bryan is falling into Cena/Hogan levels of repetitive match from what I can tell. He isn't Y2J or HBK when it comes to laying out matches, that much is for sure. I've said all along I'm not crazy about the ROH style of wrestling he represents and has allowed to, to some degree, take over WWE at the moment. His matches are more a series of spots than any attempt to lay out a story of what is happening. Even the HHH match, which had a super easy story to tell, became more of a series of wrestling moves and less of a story.

They're just catering to what the casuals want. They'd rather see a "holy shit" moment than watch a thirty minute hart/Hennig masterpiece.
