So, this is TNA's new slogan? Cross the line? They went from being the "new face of professional wrestling" to actually being wrestling itself (WE ARE WRESTLING) and now they're practically begging people to watch their product? I cant knock them, at least they're attempting to draw fans, right? They're just going about it all wrong.

For one, the ad "campaign" only airs during TNA iMPACT broadcast. Ok, I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but something tells me, if a guy isn't watching TNA iMPACT in the first place, he's more than likely not going to see the cross the line ad, nor will he follow through and actually cross the damn line. I mean, it seems as if Spike TV doesn't care. At least run the commercials hourly, maybe some "former" wrestling fan will see it, and become interested. Running ads during the show is pretty worthless. If people aren't tuning in now, how could running ads during the show possibly help? Please, don't give me that "what if someones skimming through the channels" scenario. Lets be real here....

Secondly, is TNA doing anything at the moment to actually encourage people to cross that line? I mean, TNA is theeee alternative, right? Thats what I've heard from them time after time. Well, it looks like Jay Lethal will be marrying So Cal Val at the next pay-per-view. WOW, I've never seen that done anywhere. Thats probably the most innovative thing I've ever seen a wrestling company attempt....In the words of the great Don West "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!?!" Why? Just why? Since when did being the mere image of your competitor make you an alternative? People watch TNA because they're sick of the crap WWE pulls, we don't watch TNA in hopes of a second rate carbon copy. Well, thats all the rant I have in me. Hopefully you read the entire thing without passing out from extreme boredom.

btw, before I receive backlash, I just want to add that I'm a TNA fan. I really do want them to succeed, if I have a bad way of showing it, I apologize. *goes back into spamming mode*

I went to a huge TNA fan, to a :| fan

I've gave up on it. Kurt Angle always finds a bloody way to win the match. Old traditional matches such as Ultimate X & KOTM are turning shit. The Gimmick matches and Gimmick's are good, but why do the Gimmick Squad always Job to everyone? The X division is being put down.

FUCK YOU TNA, YOUR MISSION HAS FAILED!

But seriously, everything you mentioned was correct and I agr....

Meh, /Dickrider

Please tell me the last Ultimate X or KOTM that has been bad excluding the X Division KOTM last night as I have yet to see it. I would love to see your explanation.

You stole my post ....... Rell's dickrider :p

Yeah, the line is stupid. Unless endless 'comendy', and ridiculous amounts of gimmick matches count as crossing the line, I don't get it here :n:

The Motor City Machismo Guns VS Team 3D and Johnny Devine

The fastest ones in that match, had 'hurt nerves' so they couldn't climb. Ultimate X is ment to be a match for X division wrestlers. Not 2 fatties. A large amount of weapons were used in that match. I watched the whole thing like :| boo!!!

And the first 2 KOTM matches were good. The 3rd one was boring.

That was probably the worst of the Ultimate X's I will give you that, but it was still fun. The only thing bad about it for me was the end result. *** match though still.

Last years KOTM was at least ****, if not more.

I agree.
Other than on Spike I have never seen a TNA commercial. They should at least air it during the two shows before iMPACT, so those people may get interested.
But ya, TNA needs to smarten up, and stop trying to be WWE because their entertainment cant compete with WWE, so theres no point (especally when your doing shit that's already been done) But ya, they're trying to hard for the entertainment now and its not working.
Also, not having every show end with 10 guys brawling would help:) It happens every week.
But back on topic, ya, this thing isnt really working, because as you said, only TNA watchers are seeing the commercials...

I don't live in America so I can't really comment on the advertising issue that's happening over there. Either way I don't really like the 'Cross the Line' marketing 'campaign', how many versions of that fucking advert has there been throughout the last few iMPACT!'s? There's as much Cross the Line adverts as there is actual wrestling (exagerration I know, but still). I know in the UK, Bravo (the channel TNA is on) have advertisments quite often for iMPACT! and more so for their PPV's.

I totally agree with this:
we don't watch TNA in hopes of a second rate carbon copy

I really, REALLY want TNA to suceed but the way it's going at present I can't see it happening...

In TNA's defense, people have been crossing the line... Unfortunately for TNA, that line is far away from the actual TNA product >_>

lol yeah, which is a bad sign. The thing is, they're not doing anything remotely interesting, besides the Angle/Styles feud which just may end up being a MOTYC, but knowing TNA, they'll probably have Tomko or some jackass interfere in the match, like always.

I mean seriously, Jay Lethal's getting married, Eric Young's searching for Elvis, what kind of shit is this? Come on...

:laugh2:

I actually haven't been in "spammer mode" for the last couple of weeks. I've been back to my original style of lengthy posting, since I've actually been watching wrestling. Some people still consider me some glorified spammer guy though. Well, so be it...

Who's debating that?

Exactly, I'd actually agree and say WWE is more enjoyable than TNA at the moment, but is that the discussion at hand?
