Just days before the move was announced, Destination America made the decision to cancel TNA Wrestling, with the time frame given at the end of the third quarter (roughly the last week of September, when the current television season ends). Key people at the Discovery Channel network were informed of the decision at that point.

Honestly, I only watch TNA for the wrestlers I already respect and enjoy watchin'. I'm sure a few of them will find good homes outside TNA so I'm not too concerned by this.

As funny as this is, I wonder why. Destination America based their whole network around them basically and TNA had way higher ratings than any of their shows.

Must have just cost them too much because all their other shows are insanely cheap to produce it seems like.

TNA sure got a raw deal here, not sure why any channel would pick up a genre that needs time to grow legs. Especially on a channel that is so obscure most people who heard the intial announcement was like "WTF is Destination America?".

Shame too, I was actually curious as to what Billy Corgan could do in the wrestling world.

Same, I'm actually a little disappointed by this even if I haven't watched TNA in months. I've heard they've been a bit better since the move, but that's just from Internet fans so I never know if they're actually good or just "not WWE so good"

TNA issued the following statement this afternoon via email to PWInsider.com in response to stories circulating today that Impact Wrestling was canceled by Destination America:

Statement from TNA Regarding IMPACT WRESTLING

It has come to our attention that several internet news sources have falsely attributed statements to TNA, its executives and broadcasting partner. These false statements constitute defamation and if necessary we will seek all legal remedies available to us.

We are told the same statement was issued via email to the TNA roster and staff.
