The business side
TNA had its first red-hot match in a long time on the 2010-07-22 Impact, where Dr. Stevie retained the World Heavyweight Championship vs. Sting. (rated A)
TNA dropped Victory Road from its PPV schedule, and instead hosted TNA Badlands, a PPV set on Wednesday, the day before Impact. The experiment seems to have been successful.
Around the world
Mike Tenay and Don West have revealed their falling out which may have led West to be replaced by Taz last year.
Luke Gallows, coming off a strong WrestleMania match, has already left WWE.
WWE made a bold choice to hold a PPV in Japan, and call it The Great Rising Sun Bash (note, it was actually an edition of WWE The Bash, but I'm giving it flavour). It was terrible. They're now reduced to actually using ageing ex-names and their former lower carders. An actual SmackDown match of this era is Ted DiBiase Jr. vs. Paul Orndorff. Not even kidding.
The downturn in WWE fortunes has taken its toll once more, as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have divorced.
Terry Funk has finally retired, but he's fooling no one.
