Not even then because it makes no sense because the onus of the comment is to get the fans against you and for the baby face so you instinctively made Santana the representative of the Boston Red Sox not to belittle the Yankees, but to prop up Santana as the guy defending the Boston Red Sox. The comment made no sense here.
