For the first time ever, a wrestling PPV will air live in India as TNA's Bound For Glory show will do so on October 21st. Bound For Glory will air for free on Sony Six at 5:30 AM in India. The repeat of the show will air at 9 PM.
TNAsylum's reporter Nolan reports that indeed "The IT Factor" Bobby Roode is scheduled to face the 2013 Hall of Famer Kurt Angle @ Bound For Glory.
When we're at Hall of Fame, Bobby Roode is also getting inducted into the Hall of Fame. Into an E.G.O. Hall of Fame, next week live on Impact from Oklahoma, by Daniels & Kazarian.
That should make for a helluva segment.
Sam Shaw or even Zema Ion are cool idea, but I was thinking more like Ken Anderson (if he re-signed the new contract).
I don't know why would Joe let Anderson to be his partner because they've been fighting each other for the entire year, but I guess he would becuase he knows Anderson is pissed on Knux & Garett because they screwed him in the Last Man Standing match against Bully Ray. That makes the whole thing right - one of Mafia members is gulity for Aces being gone forever, and one of Aces' own former members got his revenge on the group leftovers, while also being sorry for joining them in the first place.
With scenario like that, everyone wins. Anderson remains hot babyface, and Joe gets his storyline wish come true.
With 15 days away from the PPV, these wrestlers still don't have a match scheduled for BFG:
- Samoa Joe
- Bobby Roode
- Kurt Angle (he returns at BFG)
- Garett Bischoff & Knux
- Kenny King
- Rob Terry
- Brooke Tessmacher
- Velvet Sky
- Gail Kim
- Sam Shaw
- Rockstar Spud
- Jay Bradley
- Zema Ion
Considering that Ion is rumored to be back after the BFG; and Bradley, Terry and Spud are soing some time in OVW; that leaves us with only 8 active TV wrestlers that don't have a match yet.
I fully expect Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode II to added next week, along with Samoa Joe & Mystery partner vs. Bischoff & Knux, and a Gail Kim Open Challenge.
That'd make an 8 match matchcard (I already booked ODB vs. Lei'd Tappa for BFG ) + a preshow match.
My bet is Lai'd vs Velvel pre-show, ODB vs Gail Kim the thursday before, I dont expect Terry, Spud, bradley, or Ion to have a match, but i can say what i would like. The main show is an ultimate X match, amd just like the KO division, i dont expect to see more than one x-division match at BFG, which leaves out a lot of stars (Ion and King especially, which is bullshit)
I'm betting we dont see too huge of a card, as i said before, Angle HoF/MEM/Aces&8s/bully vs AJ/AJvsDixie will take up a shitload of tv time. Which is bunk. Hopefully the preshow is just FULL of recaps and all we get stuck with at the PPV is Angle HoF recaps.
You are 100% right on Bobby Roode vs Angle, that HoF deal set that up perfectly. No Chavo, no Hernandez, no Ion, Assmacher just looks good (and damn she does that well) and we dont see more than one X-division match (already setup) and one KO Match (pull names out of a hat, and i doubt it's ODB) Keep Park off the card, or have him lose without bleeding and have someone call him out on being a piece of shit lunatic who needs to get on medication, disappearing him for 1-2 months before Abyss comes back and they can FINALLY kill off the Park/Abyss angle and pick a fucking name. If they wanted to hurry it along, he could have a preshow match and bleed there, and during the main show Abyss could show up with the TV title, have a pointless match, and take the title back to the abyss. That could setup EY showing the recap at Impact and showing Park he really is Both himself AND Abyss. Please finish this god damn story.
KO Title won't be on preshow, because #1 Contender's Tag Team match is scheduled for pre-show: BI vs. Los Stereo vs. Bromans vs. EY & Park. Winners face GunnStorm on PPV.
Off topic point: The Impact after Bound for Glory normally represents a "new beginning" for the company. They spend a ton of time wrapping up old storylines and setting up new stuff... After a year of "Yeah, Impact was entertaining, but the main things you remember are negatives". that oughta be a whole lot of fun.
If they want to go in a 180 and try to get the fans buzzing, I'd love to see Chris Sabin's rematch happen then. Maybe AJ can bring out the Sabin we saw against Aries and Manik earlier this year. Hopefully it gets enough time. Any other ideas for that show?
Test, any chance you can / will update your OP to reflect the latest card? Otherwise it looks weak because upon first entering the thread the only thing listed is AJ vs. Bully. Just a thought.
