The way I see it, there's much more to the story than what we know or been told so far.

I mean, aside from the fact of it being a harsh punishment for a rather silly reason, I found it bizzare to begin with that he lost to Adam Rose earlier in the night, snapping his quite long winning streak. If he was indeed being given some kind of push (and commentators made sure to remind us in several occasions of his winning streak), doesn't it feel kind of off that this streak ends in the hands of Adam Rose? Adam Rose of all people?

Really iffy story if you ask me...

Never knew about this situation until reading this thread but I agree with all of you guys that there has to be something more to this than what they're telling us. It just doesn't make sense that he lost to Adam Rose after such a long winning streak and then this happens. Seems like Vince was just trying to think of an excuse to suspend him.

Vince seems to hold grudges so who knows. Maybe someone Titus was friends with or related to offended Vince and now he is paying the price. Still, that is extremely immature if that is the case.

There's also a post on here that says Batista offered Titus some "advice." Told him to ask for his release so Vince probably got mad at that. Probably said I'll suspend him before he asks for a release so he can see what it's like to be jobless.

I know I posted that somewhere in this thread.

And Batista just said something to be relevant. I highly doubt he cares about Titus. lol

Sorry I'm still getting used to this forum lol. Yea I agree Batista just wanted to be relevant. Poor Titus, he was just starting his push and now he'll go back losing to Torito and Hornswoggle.

Batista doesn't need to say anything about WWE in order to be relevant, he's got his acting career. Plus, Dave and Titus are good friends, m8.

If he even comes back to Raw. He will likely be side lined to Smackdown or worse.

Honestly why could they not have just buried him on TV.. Tyler Breeze has heat for leaving early and so Vince has put a hold on his push indefinitely.. why suspend Titus for something most people didn't notice and those who did probably wouldn't remember..
It's tough to be black in the WWE.. Right Virgil?!

Wow...

"Triple H and Joey Mercury talked Vince McMahon out of firing Titus O’Neil, RingsideNews.com is reporting.
That’s why the original suspension was so high at 90 days, as it was in fact a lesser punishment than a release. The suspension has now been reduced to 60 days, as the weight of public opinion and media reaction made WWE look bad for punishing an employee for a playful grab.

What’s interesting is that Joey Mercury had been rumoured to be away from the company. There was never any conclusive reason as to why he was off work, but presumably he’s now back in his backstage role.

As for Triple H calming McMahon down, it isn’t a surprise to hear he was a voice of reason. O’Neil was simply saying to Vince “Ladies first” when he grabbed the arm. It was meant to be a playful joke, saying Stephanie should exit the ramp before her father.

The whole incident has created a mini PR disaster for WWE, with the New York Post running it as a story linked to racism. The headline was ridiculous, as clearly race played no part. The Post then followed up with a story on how McMahon’s stock got hit after last week’s Q4 results. It almost makes you wonder who Vince has upset at the paper, as two overly negative headlines in a week seems a little unusual."

Update:

- Titus O'Neil returned to action at tonight's WWE TV tapings in Manchester, New Hampshire. He defeated Tyler Breeze in the dark match. Titus was suspended for 60 days due to the incident with Vince McMahon at the end of the Daniel Bryan celebration on RAW earlier this year. Titus got a good pop tonight in Manchester and the match was said to be pretty good.
