– 2009 has featured a lot of title changes in the WWE. The World Title has changed hands 8-times and the WWE Title has changed hands 7-times.

So many fucking title changes, this is why I don't give a crap about most world title matches these days, when somebody loses the belt its not even a shock anymore because the belt has been dropped atleast once every month leading up the that match. It changes so regularly you just don't get the same excitement out of it the way you used to. We need some longer/better title reigns so when they drop the belt we aren't expected it.

Don't forget Batista's day long reign with the WWE title. And Jeff held both the WWE and WHC this year as well.

Frequent title changes isn't a bad thing if it increases interest in the belt...but the way it's been done as of late has just resulted in unmemorable reigns and horrible booking in pushing young stars...IE...CM Punk.

This year has had a few too many title changes, they are going for shock value but quick title changes are ridiculous. The number of month or a little above a month title reigns are terrible. Cena's after WM and Punk's recent reigns come to mind. I like the feel of the Orton/Cena feud right now in terms of title changes and it looks like they're heading for another title change in that one.

So I'm assuming you hated the attitude era then?

I swear Jericho was champ for a tiny amount of time, or was that another Batista one?

Didn't Batista hold the title for a week before he got injured or something?

They just want to give the fans a little something extra before they unleash another John Cena like title reign I bet.

What ever happened to say four or five years ago even when people would have six or seven month title reigns and it would actually mean something to beat the champion or to be a multi time champion for that matter, I was watching Raw last week when Orton said I am a six time champion I was like god dam same as Batista and Edge within a few short years of main eventing they get like three or four a year. The title runs don't mean anything anymore. It isn't something special to say I am a six time champion now.

The way it was back then was much more exciting and unpredictable though, these days you will have an Orton/Cena match or something and know that the title will most likely change hands if not at that PPV then the one after. Attitude Era had much more people in the equations at times too, todays are usually the same over. Todays are boring.

100000000000000000000000000000 title changes > 1 year cena reign

The main event was almost always Austin, Rock, Foley and HHH.

The only difference now is that you have two world titles instead of one.
