Tonight (Jan. 30, 2012), Ortiz appeared on HDNet's "Inside MMA" to call out Griffin.

Here's what he had to say:

"Forrest, you know I deserve it, man. Step up. Let's do this. It's an awesome fight for you. I lost my last one. You lost your last one. Let's do this -- unless your scared!"

Griffin's response: "He knows better than that. You know what's funny about me and Tito? The truth is we each consider the other an easy fight. For me, that's the perfect 'get right' fight. Coming back from a bad loss and beating Tito Ortiz up? No problem. For Tito, he's thinking, 'Forrest ain't that good. He's getting old, prematurely. This is a great way to go out, with a win over Forrest!' So, I think it's a beautiful match up because we both think of the other as an easy fight."

I guess this means both guys agree to the fight, doesn't by any means suggest that Dana will make it though.

No desire to see this at all, hopefully it gets hidden away on some FX card that nobody watches.

I wouldn't mind seeing these two trade shots back and forth for 3 rounds.

Someone obviously doesn't know anything about marketable business opportunities, hmmmmmmmm A trilogy bout where both fights were great. Between two very popular fighters.

Yeah No one wants to see that.

I said *I* have no desire to watch it.

Griffin is a bum, albeit a famous and likeable one. Tito has been irrelvant for half a decade.

Nothing is on the line, so tbh I don't see anyone really caring.

You said hopefully it gets buried in an FX card, which would imply that noone wanted to see it, simply pointed out the fact that both are considerable draws. Seeing as the UFC is losing their big names to injury or retirement, it would suit them best to showcase fighters people actually wanted to see.

Bums or not, name value still trumps everything else.
