There's no build up anymore, guys are just winning titles ie. Santino, Punk.
I agree with your point but you can't really apply that to Punk as him holding the MITB briefcase is in some ways building up to him winning a title, maybe not in the way you would like, but if you hold that briefcase, history says at some point you are going to be champion.
Anyway, titles changing too often. People moan when people like cena for example, hold the WWE championship for months and months at a time, and now you complain about them changing hands too quickly, like cenamark says, people have a short attention span and get bored quickly, also it appears the WWE has been trying to make things seem a bit more unpredictable recently, whether it suceeds all the time is debatable (priceless twist at NoC for example) and titles changing hands is one of their ways of making this unpredictable product, unfortunately this leads to belts like the IC, US losing their prestige as there is no build up to them which is a real shame considering the great rivalries in the past that were build around and for belts like these, i wish we could see this sort of thing again but it seems unlikely.
So yes, belts do seem to be changing a bit too often, but if it means a more twists and turns that keep me interested and pushes people that deserve it (Santino - genius) then i for one don't mind too much
