Time to split Glamourella?

Seeing their tag match on Raw got me thinking...

Beth v Melina should be predominanlty about ring supremacy whilst Santino v Golddust is obviously just a goofy angle to be played for laughs.



Not that I particularly want to see the end of their pairing... It's great on an entertainment level, but I think they're gonna detract from each others current fueds...

I know there is already speculation that Santino will accidentally cost Beth the womens title, in turn leading to their split, but considering Beth & Melina's previous, that would be a really crappy title victory for Melina and an equally poor 'end' to their fued.

Additionally, for what it's worth, I think the whole Santino/Golddust angle would be better being just the 2 of them as well....

Any thoughts?

My first reaction towards Glamourella was straightforward positive and I'm quite surprised at how this has turned out today. But before the alliance turns boring and stale they either need to go with a breakup angle or do something exciting that brings back the 'thrill'.

There are multiple situations that can lead to a sudden breakup of Glamourella, the interesting part is seeing how the creative team pulls it off (if they decide to go with such an angle) either it's gonna be really good or it's gonna be really bad. Looking at the way they build Glamourella over the course of the past few months it won't be bad as both Santino and Beth Phenoix are well established superstars as a result of Glamourella.

If they split up, as singles, Santino, who is definitely hilarious has the potential of being in a successful comedy role for another year or so. As for Beth Phenoix, she has some interesting wrestling knowledge, maybe she have more runs with the womens championship.

Definately....and it's Glamarella*....ya know...Glamazon+Marella.....anyway.

It was ammusing watching it all come together and take it's course over time. But honestly I think they're both holding each other back right now. There is no need to waste their best female competitor on a comedy angle when the division is suffering so drastically right now. Santino has really run his course as a comedy act. Sure it's ammusing watching him bring Super Mario to life but any longer and this could really hurt any chances he has of becoming a serious competitor.
I think it's really time for a make or break trial for Santino. We've seen this guy SERIOUSLY wrestle like...what...twice? We still really don't know how good he is or if he can even play a serious heel. Hell if he can pull of the most successful and all around enjoyed heel comedy act in a long while then perhaps he would also make an amazing true heel.
And as said...yes I'm sure their breakup will have something to do with Santino's stupidity costing her the Women's Title to Melina. Either that or he'll be cheating on her with Beth's fan-girl.

I think it's one of those things that can stay together for at least close to another year. Santino never really gets old. And I've actually been impressed with how they managed to let Beth keep wrestling, and look credible, during the whole thing.
I think until it starts taking away from them, and neither can do any atual wrestling, leave them together.
Too much comedy to pass up on.

The Glamarella angle I think is time to end, or slowly branch away from it. While it still has it's funny moments here and there, they can't expect to keep going with the same stuff until people just not care anymore. For instance, Santino's squeel, it was funny the 1st couple times he's done it, but they do it so much now that it's lost it's humour. Santino has a MMA background I hear and some other type of wrestling background, use that. He's golden on the mic, now's the time to make him a serious competitor. He can still be a comedic heel, but the only sometimes funny jobbering squealling jumping in Phoenix's arms when he's scared Santino, it's his time to go.

As for Phoenix, she's RAW's most dominating diva, the top heel, and she's getting cheers. That's fine on some occasions, like Orton for example. But in the divas division, under Phoenix for the heels is who the singing girl, I don't even remember what her name is. That's who they have to fall back on, RAW's 2nd top heel is the bad singing girl, enough said. And as what others have said, I see this Santino costing Beth the title inadvertantly, or Santino cheating on Beth with the Mendez girl. If that happens that would turn Phoenix face because everyone would feel bad for her, and then RAW would have Mickie, Beth, and Melina as their faces, Singing girl, Layla, and Mendez as the heels.Any of those seem like they can hold the top heel role on RAW?

They could do much more outside of this group, team, relationship, what ever it is. So they do need to end Glamarella, but it's just they way they end it that's going to be the problem.

I imagine Santino cheating on Beth with that crazed fan. Thus ending their relationship and causing many lolz and eventually boredom.

I think Beth has done a pretty good job of separating her heel persona from this whole Glamarella thing. When it comes down to it, she's still wrestling the underdog Melina and pretty regularly beating her ass. It's just priceless to see this big dominating woman with the little annoying pest of a guy. I think if used right Beth could honestly have an amazing future in the wrestling business. Not only in the women's division but in bigger and better things, much as Chyna did at a time.

^^^ Yeah, Jillian, that's her name. And I forgot Kelly Kelly was there as well. But what you said about Beth going to bigger and better things, I was thinking the same thing. I think she could go on (somewhere down the line) and win a tag title or a singles title (IC, US, or if they bring in another title), and if she's booked right before hand, and the storyline is booked right, I don't think I'd hurt the credibility of the titles at all.

They should stay together. I think especially Beth Phoenix benefits from this pairing.
