I voted A, but I would give it an A-. A lot of great moments in this year's mania and it could have been a little bit better, but nothings perfect. Good job overall by the WWE here.

How the hell does the Triple Threat get four stars when it was 15 minutes long and had a shitty ending? No way it was as good as MitB or almost as good as Taker vs Edge.

Posted my ratings in the WM thread, but I'll do it here as well.

I laughed @ some people on the net calling this the greatest WM ever.

Finlay/JBL - **1/2
MITB - ****1/4
Batista/Umaga - **
HBK/Flair - ****1/2
Chavo/Kane - :n:
Bunnymania - *
Orton/Cena/HHH - ***1/2
Show/Mayweather - **3/4
Edge/Taker - ****

Not too bad, but clearly not the best WM ever.

I might comment on some other people's idiotic ratings and thoughts later on if I see fit. :eek:

Bye Ric. :(

LOl Peepshow, meanwhile here this was being called THE WORST MANIA EVER.

Amazing show, not the best but on top 5. The main event was awesome, so does HBK vs Flair. HBK carried Flair into a hell of a match up, his moonsault was just brutal.

HHH vs Cena vs Orton, meh, it was decent, but it just goes to show that if it isn't the main event, WWE can't book a good Triple Threat Match(this one, WM22)

CenaMark54's Wrestlemania 24 Review

1. JBL vs Finlay: **1/2 stars
A decent opening match, however, it was a disappointment storylinewise. This storyline has dominated Raw for the past 6 months and the ending was sort of anticlimatic. I would have liked to see more involvement from Hornswoggle and a couple more big hardcore spots. The ending was a disappointment. I would have liked to see a blade job and a knockout ending.

2. Money in the Bank Ladder Match: ****
Match of the night right here. The MITB match always delivers and tonight was no different. John Morrison was the standout performer in this match. Having Punk win was probably a good choice, although it is quite obvious that he is just being used as Jeff Hardy's replacement. Also, it was good use of Matt Hardy. Him screwing over MVP reignites this feud and sets Hardy up for a US title win at Backlash.

3. Kane vs Chavo for the ECW title: *
It was good to see Kane get the title win but Chavo was made to look like a fool.

4. Batista vs Umaga: *1/2
Typical Batista match. He doesn't get a high profile match so he mails it in. Umaga deserved better than to lose to Batista in under 8 minutes. This match was barely free TV worthy and was used to set up either Batista moving to Raw or Umaga moving to SD. Wrestlemania isn't the time or the place to be setting up storylines.

5. Bunnymania: **
Not the worst Diva match you will see, but not Mania worthy. To think, two years ago we got Mickie vs Trish. I would have liked to see Santino go over here by taking out Snoppy the Dog, but I guess we can't always get what we want.

6. Flair vs HBK: ***
This was a great sendoff for Flair. Flair gave it his all in his last match and in the process wrestled his best match in years. HBK tried his hardest to make Flair look good. The ending was classic and it allows HBK to go right back into a face role. No celebration, just quickly getting out of the ring to let Flair have his moment.

7. HHH vs Cena vs Orton for the WWE championship: ***
We get the swerve of the night in this match. Noone thought Orton had a chance but Soulpower. This shows that the WWE has long term plans for Orton to take over the top spot in the company. This match was all about creating a heel for Cena to feud with long term and it may have accomplished just that. Orton needed a strong win to legitimize himself as a credible heel champion and he got it. Not many heels win title matches at Mania so lets hope Orton can build on this and doesn't blow the opportunity. The match itself wasn;t exactly a classic. Triple Threats rarely are, which is why I am so strongly agaisnt them taking place for the title at Mania. We saw pretty basic stuff, some good submission work and decent counters. What I didn't like is the manner in which they jobbed Cena. He took a pedigree, got a two count, Orton punted HHH, another few seconds go by, then a three count. How many times have we seen Cena kick out of the pedigree? He was also the least damaged in the match and the match was short to begin with. He should have taken two pedigree's at the end.

8. Bigshow vs Money Mayweather: **1/2
This match was much better than I thought it would be. Show worked well in carrying Money and Money and his entourage played the heel role well. I would have liked to have seen Show come out on top or at least stand tall after the match.

9. Edge vs Taker for the WHC: ****
Edge showed why he deserves the spot he is in. This match was a perfect Main event. Edge plays the chicken shot to perfection, but tonight he also showed that he has the credibility to hang with the big boys. Edge basically dominated the match and was done in by one mental error. The manner in whcih Edge was able to counter and reverse all of Taker's signature moves was brilliant.

Overall, this wasn't the best Mania, but not the worst either. I would put it somewhere in the middle. Overall, I would give this Mania 2.5 Stars out of 5 for a straight C average.

Wrestling Station's Review for WM24:

Flair vs HBK
The most hyped match on the card. The meaning, the depth and the outcome of the match had high stakes right there.

I was like, *i hope Flair will perform well tonight* as its his last match (no doubt in my mind).
I loved the passion of it, the sensational and feelings that lead to a great match. I loved every bit of it, and the most memorable moment of the night for saying goodbye to the MAN! :(

Rate ****1/2
=============================

Taker vs Edge
Well, they tried to make Edge look stronger and sharper and was toe to toe exchanging punches with the best pure attacker in the WWE history.

I liked the way it went, i would be pissed if they made Taker lose with the spears. But the ending was good..

Rating ****
==================================

Cena vs Orton vs Triple h
As i thought it would be, Orton retaining.. so (TDK you can kiss my ass this time bro) :yes:

I would agree with HHHforever and Cenamark54 when they responded to my post that Cena will be booed the most. I thought Orton will be booed the most.

As for the match, well.. hmm not the best of the night, and i would say that i was expecting more from Triple H. He looked so "quiet" tonight.

Rating ***1/2
===============================

Money in the bank
Excellent performance by all of them. I enjoyed the high flying action.
Matt Hardy's appearance was not a surprise as i thought that they wanted to continue that feud with MVP.

I was kinda surprised that Punk winning the MITB. But after thinking about it, i think it makes sense as he was not included in the elimination match earlier tonight. As well as Jericho is already a IC champ, so they will go for him.

Rating ****1/2
===============================

Show vs Mayweather
Well, they tried to not injure Mayweather, so Big Show actually beat the hell of the posse instead of Mayweather.
The outcome was kinda typical, better scenario than Rey interfering! :thumbup:

Rating ***
============================

Finlay vs JBL
I loved the match, was a strong kick off for the WM event. Was intense and was brutal. The outcome was kinda pathetic though lol.

Rating ***
=========================

Batista vs Umaga
The bad thing about this match was that they made Umaga on the offense most of the match, and well they just let Batista end the match in an instance with 3 moves (including the signature move). I was hoping to see some out-ring beating but that didnt happen.

Yes, im feeling a Batista moving to Raw too.

Rating **

========================

Bunnymania
The most memorable moment in that match was the fault in the lightning system lol..
Santino segment was kinda kiddish.

Rating *1/2

======================

Chavo vs Kane
The outcome was predictable that Kane wins the ECW title, but the match itself.. well.. no match to talk about .

Rating *

Anyway, i always loved to see WM in an open arena, like the one that was held in 1993 in the Caesar Stadium.

Montana's WM Review
"A Night of Low Blows"

This show came out about the way i expected it. There wasn't any show stealers, the card featured good depth, and it WAS unpredictable. As far as rating it compared to the all time great mania, i think its right around the middle. Comparing it to last years, i thought last years top matches were much better than 24, but 24 again had more depth. This years show cater to the IWC, and smarks across the net. I am still kinda shocked to see Orton pin Cena at mania 1,2,3. Heres my match ratings, from everyones favorite critic.

1) Finlay vs JBL. Good hard hitting opener. Could have used a couple near falls, and less trash can action **3/4

2) MITB : I actually thought this was the worst MITB they have done. two big spots, imo with shelton + morrison. Lots of botches. Not alot of chemisty and they didnt really play the fueds out much in the match. Hardy's return was awesome, but he should have grabbed the breifcase!! ***1/2

3) HBK vs Flair: I would have liked to see Flair win. Great match, but just a little slow. But if this wasnt flairs last matches there is no way people would be rating as high as they are. ***3/4

4) Umaga vs Batista , yawn **

5) Kane vs Chavo ...Dud

6) Triple Threat.... They could have done a lot more with this one. It felt like it was 15 minutes. Didnt have the BIG BIG match feel. ***1/2

7) Big Show vs Floyd...This was actually one of the more entertaining matches. Good Chemistry, good buildup. ***

8) Undertaker vs Edge....Quite similar to batista's match last year. I liked how Edge reversed a lot of taker moves. While watching the show i felt edge had no chance of beating taker, which is why i can't say with was a 4 star match. MVP of the night goes to charles Robinson. Nice run to ring Charles, you are a inspriration to all. ***3/4

Entertaining show, but nothing over the top great. I still can't decide if Edge/Taker was better than Flair/HBK. I enjoyed the flair match better. All in all, this WM seems to be getting solid reviews, but i thought the match content could have been better. I may get stoned for saying this, but Cena should have won in some odd WM tradition way. I rated it a B too.

I don't get what everyone is complaining about when it comes to Kane/Chavo. Ok, so we didn't get a real match. Most people, myself included, have been constantly saying that Kane is the most underrated, underpushed superstar on the roster, and how WWE's biggest ongoing mistake is not giving him a title reign. How this match went down is not only a massive push for Kane, but is also the start of a title reign. All complaints resolved. I think they're setting him up for an undefeated streak on ECW, like Snitsky except over.

1) Finlay vs JBL. **3/4

Good choice for the opener, the Suicide Dive by Finlay was insane (Even moreso the counter to the dive by JBL) other than that nothing really stood out, but still, a good and solid match.

2) MITB :***1/2

Once again, I'll agree with Montana's rating. I wouldn't say its the worse MITB, but it wasn't the best either. Morrison and Shelton basically stole the match with their spots and bumps. Matt Hardy's return was great and it made sense that he didn't get the briefcase because it shows that Matt just wanted to screw MVP from winning the match... Punk winning was a good choice, and I really want to see what they do with him from now on.

3) HBK vs Flair: *****

Yeah, it was that good. The in-ring action was better than a lot of people expected, but it was the emotion and the storytelling that put this match over the top. I'll say it again, it was type of match that reminded people as to why they became wrestling fans.

4)Umaga vs Batista: *

BOOOOOOOORING!!

5) Kane vs Chavo: ASS

Just a squash for the ECW title... Oh well, at least Kane won.

6) Triple Threat: ***

Non-stop action right from the get-go with Orton playng the chicken-shit heel before the match even began. I said Orton needed the win more than Cena or HHH which is why I think he deserved to win, but this match felt like something we would see on a lesser PPV. It just didn't feel Wrestlemania Worthy... Maybe that's why it wasn't the ME.

7) Big Show vs Floyd: ***

Better than it had any right to be. Show didn't look weak in defeat because it took a ton of chairshots and some brass knucks for him to lose. Props to MONEY for taking some bumps and actually looking competent in the ring.

8) Undertaker vs Edge: ****

Even in defeat, Edge managed to look strong. He was able to kick-out of a Chokeslam, a Tombstone and The Last Ride. I would say it was better than Batista vs Taker. Both men stepped up and they just threw everything they had at each other. And one more thing.... GIVE TAKER'S SUBMISSION A F'N NAME!!

Finlay vs JBL ***
A solid opener for 'Mania. Finlay's suicide dive was fantastic and generally an entertaining hardcore match.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match ****
Just scraped a four star in my book. Not the best MITB, not the worst but featured some incredible bumps (Shelton and Morrison especially) and had a worthy winner in my opinion, I can't wait to see how they utilise Punk from now on.

Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair *****
Not only was this match incredibly emotional but it was an excellent match-up. Told the story well and HBK's moonsault onto the announcers table was BRUTAL. A great way to end Flair's exceptional career. (Match of the card for me).

Umaga vs Batista *
Oh dear, what a car crash. Far too short and bland.

Kane vs Chavo *
Can't really be rated but it made me laugh nontheless.

Triple H vs Randy Orton vs John Cena ***1/2
Far too short. Otherwise it was great and I was COMPLETELY suprised by Randy Orton taking the title, didn't see it coming at all. It could have been a classic this match in my opinion, but it didn;t go that way. Should have been LONGER.

Big Show vs Floyd Mayweather ***
I was suprised with this one, I found it much better than I expected, Floyd didn't look too bad in there and I enjoyed the fact 'there had to be a winner'. I was expecting some sort of DQ to happen so I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Undertaker vs Edge ****
Great, solid main event match. Both competitors gave it almost their all and it gave good results. Near misses, reversals and the fastes I've ever seen a referee run (Charles Robinson). Good stuff.

Overall I really enjoyed WrestleMania. Not the best ever of course but it basically lived up to the expectations I was having. Although the triple threat was no where near what it could (and should) have been, the Show/Mayweather match far surpassed my expectations so it all worked out. Also I loved the venue, fantastic set-up, it really made it a true spectacle.
