1. No usage of anybody's character without written permission from the character holder. Penalty will be that RP will be discounted. Exception... if the character happens to walk by it is okay. But no interaction whatsoever without written permission.

2. This one is iffy but this is based off of the Abram Vance bs... "off camera" stuff doesn't need to be written and expected to be ignored by the opponent cause that is the cheapest ploy to use as someone could simply have 99% of their RP happen "off camera" with the final 1% appearing "on camera" and so the opponent can only work with that one percent since the other 99% that everyone can clearly read and somehow we all know about... isn't known about by the opponent... so do away completely with "off camera"

I dunno this is just starters.

But....what of Mercy and Indiana at the carnival? Jacqui's dream? That sort of thing? That's "off camera".

I'm sorry, but "off camera" is an INTEGRAL part of the RPing process! What happens when I decide to have inner monologues by my characters presented as RPs? Or a slice of home life? Whatever? Those are all off-camera methinks.

I may be missing something here, though...

The character usage part...that was a rule in the PWA too, but by the time we all got to know one another, people knew how to handle each other's characters (that didn't sound right) and it became a bit more lax. For instance, BDC and Chris (dejay11chris) could write Lord Vycious almost as well as I could, and therefore were allowed to without having to ask.

There are certain things that people obviously can't see like a dream. But when you have people standing around talking... and you decide oh... that part is off limits... it just... takes away. Inner monologues can be done on camera as I've had those done plenty of times. I dunno... just sometimes... like with Vance... he didn't specify anywhere until after I did my RP... Oh that part was off camera so you weren't supposed to respond to that... yeah its a little too late for that.

My thing is... specify specifically where the off camera stuff begins and ends... otherwise everything is fair game because it would be very unfair to penalize someone for commenting on a part of your RP that you want to be off camera but the reader didn't know until after the fact. That is what I mean cause that is pretty much cheating.

And the character usage part... yeah sometimes you have people that can do that... but with here... it wouldn't work well. We still have new guys, we have people that aren't familiar with other people so they could potentially grab someone without you even knowing and make them act completely out of character. I mean I know what you mean. There was a time where there was a group of us in a fed and we'd freely use each other's characters without a single problem cause we knew how the other worked so well. But since we're still learning here... that is a definite rule to hold up high to. Specially seeing how Syn has been abusing usage of my Phoenix in his promos and in some of those I have to just facepalm cause its so horribly done.

Oh, I know. Some people in the old fed COULDN'T write my characters AT ALL, even after a year.

With regards to the other bit, maybe we should start specifying, the way we did in the PWA, if the RP is "Televised" (On-Camera) or "Non-Televised" (Off-Camera). Everyone knew not to respond to non-televised stuff.

Yeah. But again, we didn't specify it, so maybe we should start doing so?

Yeah thats why I want that in the rules too that way we won't have crap like that happen again cause that's cheap.

We still gotta figure out more stuff. Like establishing there is no word limit. We can list our criteria for what we are looking for in RPs so get some folks off our back about there being no "point system" :p

Character switching as in... you can NOT leave if you are a champion... and if you are a champion then you MUST compete in your title match unless you are absolutely not able to. Otherwise you will be given a strike.

A strike system in that 3 strikes and you are out

You are allowed to change characters but only after 30 days with your current character.

No show 3 shows in a row without reason and you will be cut and will only be allowed back if the staff agree.

Stuff like that.

Well we would have to be iron clad as in how those will be divided up because I would hate to see someone try to take on too much and the quality oft heir work diminishes and they wind up being burned out because they tried to do too much just because they are allowed to. I think something like that... staff would need to agree on as well ... again depending on the number cause some people clearly can't and shouldn't be allowed to do it.

LOL. Dude, you're talking to someone who went through exactly that. I was GLAD to drop down to a couple of characters and a 1- or 2- cap. I put myself in a situation where I had a FORTY RP cap for a PPV because all of my five (previously SEVEN!) characters were involved in it.

I'm a regular Home for Abandoned Characters...my two boys are both adopted, and I've had a couple of other "foster children" in the past.

Don't worry though - I'm just gunning for one more, because he's awesome and he's been wanting to come back. And he'd fit right in on ACW, what with Vance and Zas and Sanders and the rest of the Hardcore crew... In fact, he may show up as early as Riot Act, if you let me... BDC and I bounced some ideas off one another in that regard.

Well I mean I still think we need to figure out how we can do this with 3... like

two singles and one tag team being the absolute most...

people can have one singles and one tag team

two singles that they can eventually turn into a tag team.

but two tag teams and one singles I think would be too much. 3 singles not cool and def not 3 tag teams
