This Fire Burns Return?

I don't think it will come back because Punk has stated on interviews that Cult Of Personality is always number one in his heart. I'm not sure if that theme can work as a heel although I know in ROH it worked well. In WWE though, it probably will end up going well but I'm a big fan of Killswitch and would love to see a return of This Fire Burns. It's the ultimate heel song and it fit Punk so well with the SES. Would you like to see it come back?

Don't think it will come back as Punk likes it more and how popular of a song it easy amongst WWE fans and others. (<-- I couldn't find the right word for what I was trying to say) Also the fact WWE probably paid a fair bit of money to use it.

In my opinion, they should give him a completely new theme. This Fire Burns could do though, it fits him perfectly. I'd mark out for Miseria Cantare. But that won't happen. Ever.

IF it changes, this would be like the only theme I would accept for his new character if they are changing his character.

Or they could get some deal done or whatever and Downstait or another one of their bands to do a cover of "Cult of Personality"

I could never see Punk going after a band like Downstrait. He takes his music seriously and rips on a lot of rock/pop bands.

I agree with this. The IWC puts too much emphasis on themes anyhow. Any time a new version of a wrestlers theme is put on YouTube you see "Oh that'd be perfect for a face/heel turn" when their current theme is perfectly fine no matter what alignment they are. A slight change in personality does not warrant a theme song change every time.

I wouldn't say people put too much emphasis on themes because I do agree that themes should be tweaked to fit the character if needs be.

The best example is The Rock's heel theme, that was done perfectly.

Yeah that made sense however in this case Punk's current theme is perfect for him face or heel so makes zero sense to change it.

Cult of Personality is fine for Punk right now a new theme after only a year would be a waste of time and WWE have paid alot of money for theme song.

Theme songs doesnt really matter to me alot , but a new theme song would be better or even switch back to old one . If they are turning him heel and trying to create a "new" CM Punk , It would be better to change theme song . But at the end of day , doesnt really matters alot , WWE paid some good bucks for it , so i dont see they are going to change it in near future .

If people didn't think everything in wrestling has to change at a rapid pace we wouldn't have so many thinking it needs to be changed. You know how long wrestler's usually keep themes? Some never get there's changed. Taking a song that Punk feels is perfectly about him Cult of Personality(seriously why can't that work as face or heel is beyond me) would be like changing Shawn Michaels' Sexy Boy just for the sake of having something different and new. Out of this world.
