Not seen Slamboree 99 but am pretty sure its around the time where all that crap between Piper and Flair was going on over who owned the company.

Kevin Kelly is so underrated, always liked that guy.

Kevin Kelly is a decent hand to have around, but he just annoys the hell out of me, and I'm sure it's unwarranted personal bias, but I just can't stand the guy.

Last time I checked he was working for ROH is he still there? Not watched them for awhile.

He still is, and Steve Corino owns him every week with his amazingness.

Kevin Kelly is a poor mans Michael Cole, I see ROH on Sinclair every once in a while and I see zero difference outside of him and Corino having to talk a mile a minute because the ROH wrestlers won't slow the fuck down and sell for awhile. I mean c'mon boys, commentators need some space to plug their upcoming events and progress storylines.

While I don't think Cole deserves some of the shit that comes his way I still think Kelly is a much better announcer. He is a better storyteller, does his home work and is likeable to boot.

Does his homework? Cole has a million things to plug, storylines to discuss and moves to call for 5 hours a week. Cole has a notebook full of stuff he has to get across every week and has to try to witty banter with JBL and King as well as a crazy old man yelling in his ear for most of it. Kevin Kelly does his homework.....LOL.

But if you listened to Kelly in WWF he was always making links between the current and the past. I just think its become fasionble to knock the guy because he hasn't worked for WWE for ages and never was lead announcer on any of the main shows.

When have I ever followed trends? I knock solely off the work I see of his in ROH. That's what I said at the beginning, you said he was underrated, I disagreed. He would also be eaten alive in WWE today, because it's a different animal these days....JR even says it himself, he doesn't fit in that job role anymore.

Kevin Kelly...is that the fat virgin who The Rock called a hermaphrodite, and is now working for ROH (who, incidendally, were founded by a pedophile, just thought I'd drop that in)

JR is past his best, so that answers that one. In his prime I think he could do what Cole does and even better.

No I'm not because I believe in people leaving at the right time unlike some...

Its not a knock on JR at all he is maybe the best ever, but everyone has their time to retire, besides he still has lots to offer wrestling be hind the scenes.

The fact that you just said he still lots to offer behind the scenes, like he couldn't do both is just beyond markish. Stick to reading mark magazines and enough of this nonsense that "people should hang em up, when they hit a certain age". People just don't get old, they get better.

Your bias towards people of certain ages is foolish.
