Can I ask what about Richard Dawson scared you?

For me it was bad storms, I just really hated them. I am over that fear now, but Tornados still scare me(I did live through one and it really shakes me when they happen)

I'm sure I had other fears as a kid that I forgot about but I was 7 when Kane unmasked and then set JR in fire so that was quite frightening

Large bodies of water, due to almost drowning when I was 5.

Heights, due to falling.

Still to this day don't like either one. I have to have a seat in the aisle on an airplane.

The dark.

It still does to a certain extent, but dark rooms were a no go when I was younger. I always needed a little light creeping in my room.

I must get a few things out of the way before discussing my childhood fear of Mr. Dawson.

He is the BEST host of Family Feud for life. He was also a really funny guy and a legit caring individual (I recommend people watch his farewell speech in the original FF run finale, 1985, I believe it was). He generally cared about people, no matter what color, if you had a disability, no matter what gender....this guy is honestly what every human should strive to be, just a person who loved everyone, no matter what.

Having said that....as a kid, he was creepy to me giving all the women a kiss on FF and he just has a face that screams predator, the opposite of the person he actually was. Even the way he talked, it was a sly kinda tone that made me feel like his hand was in my pants.

I was scared I was gonna always be a bedwetter. I'm glad that didn't happen.

I can understand that then, I thought maybe it had something along the lines of that. :lol But wanted to make sure.

I was scared that if I slept with my toes poking out from under my duvet, a snake would come and tickle me to death.

There was a reason why but I can't remember.

Maybe watching The Running Man on repeat all those years was a bad idea. :kawhi

Yes, spiders and bugs and I still have pretty rough arachnophobia.

Also thunder and no, not the WCW kind even though that was pretty scary too.

Spiders are a given, but they still terrify me equally as much as when I was a child. So they are definitely not exclusive to that period.

I can't stand the way they move. I suppose these days I can at least work up the courage to put them outside with a glass and some paper, when I wouldn't dare go anywhere near them in the past.

No way I'd be able to hack it in Australia.
