^^^Vader, beyond a shadow of a doubt was the absolute best big man EVER. People think Kane was the best monster ever, he's second, Vader is the best monster, EVER. Go watch his first feud with Sting, he was an absolute beast, he was an absolute beast until Hogan ruined his aura. And then there is Vader in Japan...holy fuck... I hold Vader in such high regard for so many things, his versatility, his toughness, his monster persona, his agility is so obscene for a man of his size. Just a sick man and to me, he was a better worker than some smark favs. I think he was better than Bret, better than Savage, better than Hennig and better than prime Sting. He was also better than Flair when they met, not prime Flair though, but Flair was still top shelf in 93. He really was that awesome. If you haven't seen Vader outside of his WWF run, you really should. Go track down ANY of his Misawa or Kobashi matches and see what a monster is. Go track down his Great American Bash match against Sting. Go track down his match where he dropped the WCW title to Ron Simmons and see Ron carried to an excellent match. Go!
To be honest, only marks continue to believe Edge vs Christian will be a Wrestlemania feud or something of that level.
On the other hand, RVD vs AJ is and was a big feud, basically the feud everybody was expecting out of Van Dam.
It's not marks but smarks that believe Edge and Christian should be a Mania match. Marks are the ones that give Christian a mid card pop when his music hits. I do believe this could have been a PPV match, but WM is absurd. Christian just isn't that big of a deal as much as people want to believe he is.
AJ/RVD could have been a money match for TNA and they totally needed a marketable PPV match more than a TV match that wasn't going to pop a very high rating during a quarter hour that is amongst TNA's poorest rated, the final quarter. Edge/Christian ISN'T a money match for the E and it made sense because it could have potentially brought in or kept the ratings steady for that segment. But a team that broke up 9 years ago isn't money, especially when only one of them has gone on to measurable success. (That is not designed to be a shot at Christian or TNA, it is what it is) Edge/Orton, Edge/Y2J, Edge/Cena, Edge/HHH and so forth are money. Christian, on the other hand, isn't.
